You have no valid suggestions all you are saying is this is a joke fix it. All your suggestions are things to make the game eaiser when the majoirty of people feel it is plenty easy enough. The devs ahve stated there will never be a healing class ever and thank god for that there is a self heal spell otherwise just spam potions like everyone else. -------------------- Tithas Level 52 Tank. |

Thanks Tetness... Dito. Another idea brought up in a topic about our favorite thing. Mythics: we need more because of : 1-- There is NO "BUILD" specific items at all. Its a miss match game if your "LUCKY". This also includes any magical to mythic piece of equipment.. this idea extends farther then just mythics. So far prevelelent builds fall to a just a few catagories. Templar the Mage<|>Warrior or the Mage<|>Ranger. <|> = What type of equipment you choose. There are some other basics too Assasin.. Speed builds.. fast acting skills complimented with AOE and slow down skills. (Needs health leech to survive, much like a Templar build needing mana leech to survive) The ever prevalent Ranger with shadow lighting. Even a poison ranger needs higher int equipment if there to spam there poison error on left click. Serious issue here... A Ranger should not have to put into "intelLegence" to use there basic skills. Need to lower requirement cost probrably about 1/2 in my experiance as a ranger. Goinng 2/2/2/2 doesn't work as a ranger... its bull. I've met a lvl 60 ranger and he really cant beet me in Damage per second at level 43!!!! And you know dam well his dex equipment is there, its what they have a choice of unless they want more int.. then oh, you take a defence hit because you chose mage gear... But then he's got to invest into Strength for Defence & then endurance to survive. I hope you see the circle of gimping rangers in true blue color here. This is idiocy in my opinion.. form your own. Heh, I'm fighting for rangers when I think your cowards anyway for shooting a gun rather then using any type of skill to face me rather then run/shoot, goes for mages too but alteast you dont have good armor so you cant face a constant barage of butcher and holy roller, your so weak hhahahah. Heheh.. old arguments I know but there good ones and I needed tention relief, please dont respond this, it was a jest and that was it. Quote: I said white magic not healing, Divine damage spells and curses to compliment them, ie skill blocker for a few seconds en masse' or higher given a single target version. would be a huge help to mage builds, set a high cost of MP on it and poof you have a mage "specific" skill. Rather respond to the ideas to reshape them or dissolve them with better ones. |

1) Targeting, in general, needs some improvement, in my opinion. An issue I have with your suggestion is that some slotted skills may require separate targeting of their own. Maybe the player actually wants to target another mob other than the one currently targeted for a skill like Shadow Word Smackdown, then go back to the mob on which you were beating... 2) No - AOE spells DO NOT need enhanced range. They're powerful enough already. 3) No - Gaseous Blast was already way too powerful, which is why it was balanced in the last major build. Besides, it's easy to maneuver so that you get as many mobs as possible within it's range... 4) While I would "like" for Ring of Fire to hit like Gaseous Blast, I think it's powerful enough as it is. 5) I have no problems, on any character I play, separating healers. Use strategy and use the NPC AI against them... 6) Abaddon uses fire. Slot Fire Ward and Fire Resist AND Thickheadedness if you really need it. With Fire Ward and Fire resist, you can resist most of the fire damage. I'm rarely every knocked down by his meteors, so I, personally, don't bother with thickeadedness. As to the general suggestion of a "skill block", that's what resists and %block skill are for... 7) I agree. I don't mind being interrupted, but I dislike having to wait the entire cooldown for the skill to become available. 8) I disagree wholeheartedly. Skills are a gold sink. On rare occasions, you'll find a skill book for a skill you use and haven't already leveled up in rank, but--overall--I think skills should be purchased (or earned). 9) I agree - the KC jeweler is a joke. Having the ability to select both "class" and type would be nice. Regarding your dungeon idea, there are aspects of it that I like and dislike, but most of it's been covered in that thread by other players. |

Ring of fire is already deadly, as ripper has said in so many words. I use it all the time and I still do well enough with it. To be honest, if the developers decided to modify the game with EVERYONES suggestions then the game would fall apart because of instability and it would take five years for the suggestions to be implimented in such a way that it could work out. Some of you need to rethink your suggestions and just not give any. The AOE effect is one example, some say make it more powerful, and others say make it more challenging. You need to realize that the developers already know what to do about their game that they work hard on. Now obviously, I don't direct this to everyone. But I ask that everyone think about this and perhaps some of you shouldn't suggest anything at all.. -------------------- Entrican - Mage - LV Range (20-30) |

I think it'd be fun if when you have a skill book you could learn the skill even if you've already maxed it out for your level. That way people could get skills that are like rank 21/20. The game machinics already are in place for skill levels past what is allowed so a small patch to make it so books would just let you learn a skill without a level cap would be nice. I find most skill books to be absolutely worthless right now and would love for that to be changed. They either need to make skill books only for skills you can't learn from trainers, increase the drop rate of them, or let you learn them no matter what. I've gotten about 1 book every 20 levels and I'd rather use 100k to buy a skill then use up a book that took me so long to get. |

-- Suggest A Green or Red Cross hair... Green being current target, Red for other target. And I know its going to be said... perhaps a Ctrl/alt or shift + slot to target manually.little icon for it you can click on the skill bar perhaps. Minimal graphic for mimimal option I think i could be done. 2) AOE not powerfull at later levels thus a what? --.1 meter... jeese not asking alot... 1 meter in 10 levels.. not too much to ask when the monster count goes up anyway. There at best 1/10th of the damage you inflict with your weapon if your using it just to hold there HP at bay in HDOL. 3) No - Gaseous Blast was already way too powerful, which is why it was balanced in the last major build. Besides, it's easy to maneuver so that you get as many mobs as possible within it's range... --Perhaps but it at least needs a good look at, not to mention it isn't 1000 dmg per second its that over 3 seconds. again... 1/10 of what your doing with your weapon or primary spell. 4) While I would "like" for Ring of Fire to hit like Gaseous Blast, I think it's powerful enough as it is. --May have a point, it isn't too bad but its still called ring... perhaps Sun Blast would be a good name change considering the "rays" 5) I have no problems, on any character I play, separating healers. Use strategy and use the NPC AI against them... Yeah a big fat chicken leg.... NCsoft version of a hunter pet, that nobody uses unless there armor starved. Just give the ranger the pet for crying out loud. Dex requirement to use which would make it "ranger" only. though flip side is could a hybrid like this game is designed use it effectively? 6) Abaddon uses fire. Slot Fire Ward and Fire Resist AND Thickheadedness if you really need it. With Fire Ward and Fire resist, you can resist most of the fire damage. I'm rarely every knocked down by his meteors, so I, personally, don't bother with thickeadedness. As to the general suggestion of a "skill block", that's what resists and %block skill are for... 257% Fire resist and pawns me on normal at lvl 40, and the only %block skill is gimped not to mention only mages use a shield on the "most". Bugger that!!!!!!!! refer to my build in my signature to see what I'm using. It may just be the one boss that is needs to be sponged. The point is to use stun for what its sposed to be a small second freeze /w a double or better effect of skill block. This is the first game that doesn't have that effect... am I the only one of the opinion that this needs to be changed? 7) I agree. I don't mind being interrupted, but I dislike having to wait the entire cooldown for the skill to become available. Thanks. 8) I disagree wholeheartedly. Skills are a gold sink. On rare occasions, you'll find a skill book for a skill you use and haven't already leveled up in rank, but--overall--I think skills should be purchased (or earned). Possibly.. any other opinions? 9) I agree - the KC jeweler is a joke. Having the ability to select both "class" and type would be nice. Regarding your dungeon idea, there are aspects of it that I like and dislike, but most of it's been covered in that thread by other players. And what about SOMETHING for the rainbows rather then boss reseting and tedium? By the way... QFT - Quote and reply you read it as a agreement, this is a suggestion forum... usualy a debate follows yes? I say it was disagreeing with the quote, which is usually the case with quoting isn't it? -------------------- --- Rather respond to the ideas to reshape them or dissolve them with better ones. pLEASE? Am I just really really good at this game, because I seem to be the only person here who has no problem losing my targets. Really I wonder how you all have such a problem with it, even if they clump together I can usually weed them out. Edited by tappa (09/05/07 01:13 AM) |

1) Targeting, in general, needs some improvement, in my opinion. - Totally agree, especially when I get swamped with all the small creatures jumping up and down. It's hard to target. - Gripe is when I release my mouse to activate a skill from the button bar, I lose the target. - Suggesting: Have 2 name bars with the top one as the main target. Then after the first target is dead, you can hover-over another an shft-click another to select the secondary target (just a suggestion, don't flame me) - Or you can right-click on the secondary target icon/name to 'activate' a direct skill against it. 5) Ranger pet (pure ranger only, probably have to look at the skill tree) - Yeap thinking about the same. Or the pet can be summoned and then disappear over time or when killed, eg. spirit wolf 6) Resistance. Make it them a passive skill. 7) For dextrous warriors, give them dodge-like ability. 8) Rid of the interruptions or think of other drawbacks. But waiting for the cooldown is so not cool. |

Quote: When someone quotes a post and then just says "QFT" it means that they fully agree with the area they quoted... hence... "Quoted For Truth". I quoted that post stating that I fully agree with the responding poster that fully disagreed with your post. Being as this is a "suggestion" thread as you call it (original post looks more like a "Fix It cuz you suck" post) then debate does ensue. The debate that followed was disagreement with your thoughts. Just because you don't like it does not mean that it is wrong... regardless of what you think about the "rules of the forum" that you like to try to hide behind. You and I disagree about these thoughts. Nothing wrong with that. But if you don't want to hear disagreement, that some people like the way it is, then don't post anything at all. Because someone out there is going to disagree. It's the nature of humanity. Deal with it or /wrist. Now, having seen enough of your "this sux now fix it" threads... I've decided to join a growing number of peeps who have you on ignore. So, there you go... you no longer need to worry about any flames from me. I think most peoples problem with a number of your posts is you say just that. "FIX THIS NOW" when your posts start off this this then people are going to be defensive and not very responsive to your "idea". You are not starting a discussion about changing something you are telling them this is the way it is, and that must be changed now. -------------------- JoeB - Level 100 - Back to a Fighter where he belongs SirOldBottom - Level 42 - Shadow Merc Mearlin - Level 29 - Mage Dungeon Runners Map Build 0.95 |

One problem I have with targetting is how huge our characters hitbox are, makes it hard to dodge a fireball or something when it doesnt even hit you but still does. |

Quote: QFT. My biggest problem is you have a ton of suggestions but they dont seem to be there to improve the quality of the game IN THE CONTEXT OF WHAT IS IS SUPOOSED TO BE. Not what you want it to be. The devs have a vision for a casual game that I personally enjoy greatly. You can argue that it is not a casual game all you want but that is the devs master plan and it is going to be implemented. Most of your ideas are to broad for a game of this nature and your ones that arent are not waranted IMHO that is just how I feel though. And before you pull the noob thing I am 27 and have been playing online games since I was 14 starting with MUDS and gemstone on AOHell. I have been around the block a time or two and I know what I like and dont and currently this game is aweseome to me. Just my 2 cents. -------------------- Tithas Level 52 Tank. |

QFT tithas. This 'person' doesn't seem to want to keep the image the devs have inmind. Which is inconsiderate to the devs if you ask me. And frankly, before anyone goes into math. Noone here gives a flying clock about the mathematics about dungeoneering and so such. Infact I doubt many of us don't bother doing the math. And another thing, the 'contribute or don't spot' thing this 'person' seems to cry on about... it ain't gonna fly with the people here. Frankly if you just decided to accept the game for its entirity, then you might be more liked around here... -------------------- Entrican - Mage - LV Range (20-30) |
