Please correct me if this is just my perception being wrong, but:

On bosses, if I stop my attacks to hit some other ability, it seems that all of a sudden I'm taking more damage. So it seems to me that any secondary attack gets me killed. I'll use one or two in the beginning of the fight, but in the middle, the meat of the fight as it were, I just watch my health bar and spam potions.

If I am playing wrong please feel free to tell me. I can use all the help I can get. :p

I find Stomp way more effective in groups, not so much in solo. I've used it to save my friends from being damaged and give them a split second to cast those buffs or attack. It has it's uses just like all skills/ spells.

Great use against Vergrim to push any berserked broodling away right before they explode.

I've found Stomp to be great for AoE mages. I just aggro a few mobs, then cast Gaseous Blast, Ring of Fire, Shadow Lightning, and Righteous Stomp (in that order). It's great for giving ranged classes time to get away from enemies.

The new patch will be improving on Righteous Stomp's damage to a significant level, and basically I dont use it for damage, i rather use Cleave which helps clear the low life mobs(2 exp mobs which i call them). I use Righteous Stomp for pot spamming, due to the 1 sec break until the mos run bak to u.

For all us fighters out there, why should we use this? It doesn't do much damage. There is also no strategical value for a fighter to knockback all the enemies at once. It just doesn't make sense. A lvl 5 righteous stomp does 34 to 78 with a mana cost of 56. Thats not enough to even wound fodder npcs. It's just not worth the hotkey slot.

We can easily grab Gaseous Blast from the ranger trainer. As such we gain an AoE that does 395 to 730 damage with a mana cost of 53. I just don't understand why this ability is here. Gaseous blast we get to keep our enemies next to us. Deal them a lot more damage to them. On top of the fact that Gaseous blast has a faster recharge timer which makes it far more effective in combat.

So my question to all my fellow fighters is there any reason to use this skill anymore? It just doesn't make sense to me.

Well after skipping all 5(?) pages of replys...

After playing my fighter alt and from remembering when my main was a fighter, I would make a combo like: 1 |Gaseous Blast| 2 |Cleave| 3 |Stomp| and 4 |Ring of Fire|, I would use the stomp as a break in the monsters hitting me to heal / regen mana.

Also (and maybe more useful) is using it at higher lvls vs Abbadon, it works well to cancel his fire storm spell. But abby's not really playable right now, maybe after the patch.

And you weren't paying attention. We know Righteous Stomp will Knock-Down enemies with the next heave. Our comments were directed at Weedhead, who claims that Righteous Stomp can Knock-Down enemies NOW. Pre-Heave.

Mmyes.. Knockdown/Knockback.. I see the difference in less then 0.0082 sec but some people dont aye?
I like Righteous Stomp really much in pvp for Imperial Runner (lvl 17 God Pure (I want a cool pvp recognation too, instead of "Twink".. that sounds so negative and.. stupid) )
As you can knock fighters away, cast TTF, before theyre back and then kill them. I also like the fear for 2 sec and regen when in a tight battle.

...it knocksBACK not knocksDOWN yet. Awesome cleavage has the chance to knockDOWN. That's the whole point of it being changed/updated - to knockDOWN as well as knockBACK, but not currently. Now, when they get knocked back, there's a second or whatever of "stun" but its not because theyre knocked down like butcher does.

No, you can knock down monsters with stomp, I think. Probably my thinking is incorrect.

Not only is your thinking incorrect, but so are your observations, apparently. Either that or you've confused the meaning of "down" and "back". I can understand though, they are very similar terms.

Does ignore work in the forums too?
Would it make posts by ignored individuals invisible to me?

I mean, I would still see new topics and posts, just not the entries by THAT poster?

I am sure there would be an enormous drop in the number of new posts per day that I would actually see,
but I am thinking I could live with that.

Just bring up a post reply from a person you don't want to see anymore, click on their name to the left, then when their bio window pops up click the option along the bottom of the window that says "Ignore posts from this user."

Like EB said, their response will still show up in the order of the forum thread, but the content will say "You are ignoring this user."

These are the things you must pay attention to before you post, little words make a HUGE difference. Kinda like telling Mom you accidentally knocked down your GF but she heard you accidentally knocked up your GF.
