post your gripes or positives to the changes made to the rangers. try to keep it civil, and postulate how this could be remedied in the next patch


my thoughts are that they took the nerfing too far on the rangers. you can't hit a class so hard in one go and expect not to hear a lot of complaining from them. it's not like it was one of the things they put into the Q&A thread.. so we were, once more, kept in the dark on a matter that is causing some concern, and could have been avoided if talked through first.

I agree Laurana. I am fairly sure though that everyone has griped more than once in my thread about being nerfed to much.
But as a fellow ranger, it was disheartening to see how much ass i sucked.

Lets just say, they are supposed to beat classes with nerf sticks, not jam them into various orifices!

I am pretty new to the game. My ranger just hit 11 this morning. I will say that the survivability/damage after this patch is drastically different. For one thing, I think my damage rating is way lower.

I had to switch to melee because my current ranged weapon is so ineffective.

I logged in for the first time on the new build yesterday.

To say I was upset is an understatement.

My damage is ONE THIRD of what it was. I could not make a dent in Abaddon. He regens faster than I can damage him.

I am level 48 and can't solo a boss! I am PATHETIC.

Now, I can understand maybe a 10% or 20% adjustment, but holy hell is this bad. Unworkable.

My weapon was totally nerfed. What was a very nice purp is now a piece of crap. I can't do squat with it.

And, I don't like how my mythic armor changed. It did not get "better", the old stats on it were much better IMO.

I deleted my ranger and made her a fighter. Seemed like the only logical move since I wasn't extremely high level yet. At least now I feel like I can hold my own in a dungeon.

Asterel, I know how you feel. I'm level 57 and am doing over 70% less damage and I, too, couldn't dent Abby. I could hold my own in HDoL with a ton of pots and I could do fine in Shadow's Embrace, but it's so slow as to not be fun anymore.

As of now, I've shelved my highest level and 'main' character in favor of my mage alt.

Now you're essentially the Druids of DR.
But I admit, the nerfs were rather severe, and will need re-evaluating fast, and based on other than hotfixes the time between patches, I fear it may not come soon enough.

Ah wel Nc always loved the fighter class.
