i leveled to 48 yesterday and so i got to use my new xbow. it was the same as my old one except for a few extra agi points, a higher lvl req, and a couple of extra piercing points and divine damage. sugar glider xbow. was the same speed. but now when i went to go kill abby, i knocked him over, somewhat akin to butcher does for warriors. not once, but over and over and over again. he doesn't even get a shot in once i get started. i didnt think normal bows did this.

anyone else have bows that do this? i never have before.

It's a funny thing. It's a certain damage range based on your level range that once exceeded, knocks targets back.

hmmm. because i took off my +83 agi suit in favour of a +85 end suit before i levelled (i'm playing around with axes and butcher and stuff.. preparing for classless) so my damage should have gone down through the floor. the weapon itself added about 10 points on either end of the range, but it doesn't go past 400 about 350 i think

oh and it only does it to Abby. not to any of his guards

it also didn't occur when i was grouped. and it didn't happen to any creature i fought in shadows end grouped and ungrouped

I believe its the lvl not the weapon.....when i hit lvl 48 the same thing happened to me abby just kept getting knocked to the ground. I didn't change out anything when i lvled. Odd thing is i've yet to see anything else get knocked down. Though it seems i get more that do that little stagger thing.

yeah was onlyu abby. was also probably lvl 48 for me too. or maybe 47. just seemed odd.

I've had this happen against a variety of mobs ranging from level 5 whiskerlings to level 40 heros and champs in HDoL. That being said, it never seems to happen consistently. It would be nice to know if this was an effect of certain bows.

it doesnt seem to be. i swapped bows and it still knocked him back every shot.

I'm starting to think this was a bug. I still think if you pass a certain damage number that it knocks targets back. I first noticed it on Rotgut.

makes sense..swap out needle chuckers with a higher damage lower agi...ultimately lowering my over all damage and now i never knockdown abby. but i did just realise i've been knocking down whiskerlings, the claw things and the wheelchair peeps.

what i dont get is how yuo can knock dwon abby, who presumambly has the highest defense etc of the monsters in the cleft, yet you never knock back his minions? i've played with my warrior gear on, but just my bow and he still knocks back i think. been a while since i was in game.. still waiting for that miraculous january patch...
