Just to be clear, a crosspost is an identical post by the same person posted in more than one forum heading. (thats a lot of post's in that sentence. Just because a similar post is in a different area, does not make it a crosspost. The could have been posted by 2 different people at the same time, or maybe they have slightly different content. Usually this can be solved by people doing searches, but the search isnt always useful if you dont use the correct terms. Unless its blatant and repetitive it shouldnt be a problem. Posts get put in the wrong area all the time, sometimes its hard to tell where it should go if it includes multiple ideas. |

i have no problem with you pointing out cross posts (however power hungry it makes you look) but if you ARE going to do so, at least have the decency to link to the thread you are claiming is a cross post, and only do it for one of the 2 threads, just like everyone else does. it gets the point across quite nicely -------------------- The FAQ-Read it! I dont know if you were actually replying to my post or just using the last persons post to do a reply. I wasnt stating anything about the supposed crosspost, I was just giving the correct definition because like you said I did not see any other post that would have been considered a crosspost. Its not my place to edit/monitor the forums and I was trying to prevent a flamewar. Happy posting all |
