Need Official Help? PLEASE READ ME!!!
#19090 - 04/02/07 12:14 PM

If you need to contact the support staff for any reason (billing issues, tech issues, etc) please note that you can follow the same instructions below.

Instructions on how to contact customer support can be found in the newbie guide:

Go to http://www.plaync.com/us/support/ then click on the "Ask A Question" link at the bottom of the page.

For in-game violations, please make you include the player's name in your report. All in-game violations need to be reported directly to our Customer Service team. Please do NOT post content containing in-game violations on the message boards, edited or otherwise.

Not getting the answers you seek? I got the answer
#35528 - 09/13/07 11:46 AM

If no one is answering a question you posted it isn't because you are being ignored. It is because no one knows the answer.

Sometimes troubleshooting on the msg boards is truly just a shot in the dark, given the limited amount of information there is to work with. Now sometimes it is possible, but when you aren't getting a solution, PLEASE do not sit on the msg boards waiting for an answer. Getting mad or "bumping" your own thread isn't going to help people come up with a solution faster, either.

In the end, it probably means you are going to need official support, and I don't want anyone to feel like their time has been wasted. Everyone really should be submitting a ticket before they post here in the first place. All you got to do is log in, write your summary, and submit. It isn't really that much more than posting on the msg boards, now, is it? Coming back and repeatedly posting and/or checking on a thread can even be MORE work on your part, if you think about it.

Just remember that nothing can truly replace official support. I realize that most people would rather have a root canal than deal with any type of support. Now why is this? I think it is because tech support *sometimes* has to bring people down a lot of dead ends before the right answer is found, and no one wants to deal with that. It can get frustrating when the answer isn't immediately apparent. But that is is the nature of troubleshooting ...things have to be narrowed down to a specific problem. Nothing can be assumed, and everything has to be checked. And some problems are just easier to handle than others, although it would be nice if all the answers we need just fell into our laps

Here it is, flat out: the msg board is simply here to discuss these problems. It is not meant to be used as a replacement for real support. So really, your real answers are actually in the post above this one.

Veteran posters, I realize that this problem comes up from time to time, and some of you guys have been very kind in writing out long, thought out responses each time this situation arises. Please feel free to pass this msg thread on to anyone who you think may benefit from reading this clarification.
