Well, I'm waiting on downtime for Build 82, haven't posted before, so this is kind of my introduction/guide to become a White Paladin.

Intro: I started out on RuneScape about one and a half years ago, never really liked it much, played it for about 3 days then gave up on it. But then, one day on my trip to good'ol South Dakota I had brought along a gaming magazine. Was fliping through it one night in the hotel and saw a small disc for World of Warcraft 14 day trial. Popped it into my laptop and three hours later I was a newbie Dwarf Warrior. I really liked World of Warcraft up until The Burning Crusade expac came out. After that I found myself flipping from non-TBC private servers to other ones. But then, one night on a website with a list of free MMOs I came across a little MMO on the page called "Dungeon Runners". Little did I know it was created by NC Soft but that's beside the point for now. Anyway, after about an hour download for me, I jumped in and started up my Fighter, Agator. Started him out as a Barbarian up until level 14 at which I tried a Paladin until level 17. I never liked it much, so I went back to Barbarian until level 30(which I currently am). I tried out the Paladin again and this time put some thought into how to build him and make him work right. So, without further introduction, I present my easy three step guide to becoming a White Paladin.

Make sure you have the Fighter Archtype!

Step #1, Gear: As I have found with my Paladin. I really like pretty much Barbarian gear. Lots of endurance, strength and agility. I only have intellect on my shield, one hand weapon, and one ring, which pretty much manages it for me. As I said, gear is simple, go for mostly strength, agility, and endurance and always make sure whatever shield you have has some intellect on it, as well as your one hand weapon. Next, make sure your rings and necklace always have strength and intellect unless you have enough provided on your weapons to have some other stats on them.

Step # 2, Build: This is what you want most in, in order: Strength, Agility, Endurance, and then Intellect. Really, around level 30 you should have a health/mana of around: 6400/1500.

Skills: Anything with divine in it really. Divine Resistance, Divine Ascandency. And the new upcoming Divine Ward from Build 82. Soul Rend, Fear of Gosh, Holy Roller, Righteous Stomp, all neccessary skills(I advise you put Soul Rend mapped to your Left Mouse Button and Fear of Gosh mapped to the Right Mouse Button and then spam then while fighting).

Ok, well I hope this helped, tried to make it simple and it's really, for me, my introduction. So anyway, thanks for reading!

Thank you for your post. I just started yesterday and when I saw Paladins were here, I wanted to be one, but I have always been considered a Barbarian after Fighter. I'm not sure why. I think it's my skills.

What's Agility for? Do fighters need or use Agility at all? Wouldn't it be better to have Endurance instead of Agility?

Agility increases your attack rating, or how much you acctaully hit the target instead of missing or getting parried.

Cool, thanks for the help. I spent some points on my Agility, and it really looks like I'm hitting a lot more often now, which is good.
I also am a White Paladin now, thanks in a large part to your topic thread, so thanks for that as well. I'm going to focus on the White Paladin way of playing and see where it takes me.

So if you follow this guide your title changes to paladin? I thought paladins had the ability to heal others.

Given there are no heal spells in this game that wont happen. They are referring to the title your character is given.

So the titles are largely determined by your spell/ability lineup?? That seems wierd. I've been a "Brutish Barbarian" it seems the whole time, and I've switched up my skills a few times, but I guess not dramatically enough. I saw someone with fighter as a title the other day, was wondering how to get that.

Aye...this guide works. I switched my skills on my hotbar around until I got the title i wanted, and it was definitly my divine stomp that gave me the paladin title.

Lol, Zalascotch. I've been a "Fanatical Fighter" since day one and always wondered how to become a "Brutish Barbarian"!

I'll try switching skills around, but the only part of the title I've ever been able to change is the first word, which is "Coordinated", "Dexterous", or "Toned" depending on which weapon is equipped. I have no idea what "Barbarian gear" is supposed to be. I've exhausted Dew Valley Forest, Algernon and Algor and never seen a single piece drop with the word "Barbarian" in the title.

Your weapons will not have "barbarian" in them. It is a combination of things (skills, stat distribution, weapon).

Yes, but Agator claims that you need to acquire "Barbarian gear" (his words) to help become a White Paladin. I have never seen any such thing in the game, and I don't know what he means.

Ahh didn't realize that, hadn't read the OP in awhile. Should work with Crystal, Plate, Unique armor. I am a barbarian and have mostly unique armor with some dark plate.

Well sir, I can help you!

Left to right, here are my skill sets. Try these and let me know if you have the same results.

Left click button - Cleave
1 - Noxious gas (the AE poison cloud)
2 - Fire bolt (doesn't change if I remove this)
3 - Spirit of the Hare
4 - Ring of Fire
5 - Haste (1h or 2h, depending)
6 - Damage shield (not sure of it's name... mob hits me, they take dmg)
7 - Original fighter passive 1
8 - Original fighter passive 2

Right click - Butcher

I toyed with these the other night and was able to make the title change. Unfortunately I want the skillset I prefer rather than a title I think sounds/looks cool.

So in essence, function > form.

Hope you enjoy been a brute as much as I do. :)
