This is how to easy kill very hard hitting mobs. A single mob is usually not a concern, but some few mobs, like the Gatekeeper, can still be a challenge because their high damage attacks.

So they hit hard and fast? Well, let's change all that.

Cast unnerving shout, ice bolt and holy roller (if you're not a ranger that is, just only the two first).

All these skills lower the attack speed, AND THEY STACK (with each other, not same skill twice)!
The gatekeeper will come almost to a still. And when he can't damage you anymore, he aint much of a problem.

No that is blasphemy, the correct answer is to call for a nerf.

Or, you could just do the easy thing and spam AOEs and heal pots until they die :D

So is that why they chose to chase after me and only me in our group, since I had ice bolt, sheesh, that was depressing to die so fast.....

Not because you had ice bolt, the aggro system is set up to attack the weakest member (ie lowest HP) and the character that triggers the group.

Not true, I often help my lower level friends with my ranger. One of them is a warrior 20+ levels lower than me but with twice the hps. If it's just the two of us they attack him. If our mage friend is with us who is between us in levels they attack him. I always start the fight, so it doesn't seem to be level based or health based. But Hero's and Champ's always seem to hate on the mage. :D
