No!!!! Not that kind of giveaway!!!

It's time for some more unofficial contest action! I was in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area this last week on business and saw several Gamestops near where I was staying or right off the freeway on my way to work, so I checked them out. I was able to pick up retail boxes at three of the four Gamestops (the fourth didn't stock any PC games except for WoW). I also picked up a copy at Best Buy. In each case, it was the last box in the store. So, in other words, I cleaned out much of the local stock. Never fear, though, I'm giving away the serial codes for all four boxes!!!

Please note, this is an Unofficial Contest! I don't work for NCSoft. I personally bought these boxes and I'm personally giving away the codes? Why? To be nice and to help create a little awareness of the game.

How does this contest work? This post will serve to host the rules and regulations. I'm going to ask Steve to create a news article linking to it. That article will be published by "Bling Gnome" on facebook. To enter the contest, you must do two things:

1. Become a Bling Gnome fan on facebook.com
2. Add a comment to the one and only official news post for each week's contest.

One week from the start of the contest, I'll randomly select one single player as the winner for that week and send them one retail box serial code, which includes six months membership and a permanent Bling Gnome!j It's that easy. I have four boxes, so I'm going to do this four weeks in a row, starting whenever I can get Steve to post the first news article!

Are there any other rules you need to be concerned about? Yup! Here they are:

• The contest is open to everybody, older than 13, who doesn't already have a Bling Gnome. Since I have no way of knowing whether you do or not, I'll just have to take your word for it. If you're under 13 years of age, have a parent or somebody else enter on your behalf.
• I am not shipping you the box!!! I'm going to send you the serial code via facebook message. If you're not cool with that, don't enter!!!
• I am not responsible for missing or invalid codes in the box! I paid $10 for the box, so I assume the code is in there and valid. We've all read reports of game codes being missing because some asshat returned a game, which was then shrink wrapped and resold. Stuff happens and it ain't my fault if it does. If you have any doubts about entering the contest, don't enter!!! I've already one one successful giveaway and Urosz, from Serbia, won and successfully redeemed the serial code.
• To qualify for the contest, you must become a fan of Bling Gnome on facebook by the time the contest ends and you must post a comment to the official news post by Bling Gnome on facebook.com
• You get one extra entry for each referral!!! No, I don't want your friend's names and I'd never ask you to give them to me. In order for a referral to be counted for you, whomever posts a comment simply has to say you referred them (ex: Bob Smith referred me! - in this case, Bob would get one entry for his own original comment and one for the referral).
• The contest begins as soon as Bling Gnome posts the news article. It ends 1 week later @ Midnight, MST, after which I will post the winner.
• I will randomly select one winner out of all the qualified entrants and contact the winner via Facebook.
• By participating in this contest, you certify that you are older than 13 years of age and accept the rules and regulations for this contest.

So, for the first week and box giveaway, all I need now is to have Steve create an official news post! As soon as he does, the contest for the first week's giveaway is open!

So far, the Week1 contest is going great! There are at least 50 entries as of now and there's still several days to go. There are also a ton of new Bling Gnome fans on facebook, which is great! Don't forget to share the contest page in facebook to your profile and get referrals for extra chances!

It has come to my attention that there are scam artists promising players free serial box codes if you give them your account information. I'm sure they're trying to take advantage of the contest currently underway. Please note, neither I (a player running an unofficial contest), nor any of the official NCSoft staff will EVER ask for your account information!

The Week 1 contest is almost over! You only have until Midnight MST (GMT-7) tonight to get in on this week's contest. Don't forget, you get extra chances if somebody says you referred them! So far, there are 100 entries. Keep in mind, I only had 15 contestants for my last contest, so this is an incredible improvement! Also, Bling Gnome went from 260ish fans to 400! Sweet Geebus!
