:confused:I just started playing the game yesterday and have found 2 major problem that I haven't been able to get answers for;
1. The map is worthless, it shows nothing but the door you enter the dungeon and the the door to the next lv. I never know where I'm at or where I've been.
2. When you turn off your computer, you come back to play later and you have to go through all the levels of the dungeon and to get back to where you stopped.
This is very disconcerting to have to basically start the whole game over every time you want to play.

HI DrakIII - welcome to Dungeon Runners. I'll try to reply to your issues:

Map issues - If you can't see the map, it's most likely due to your graphics card or drivers. If you're using a recent NVidia card with the latest drivers, turn off AA in the game and instead, force AA through the Nvidia Control Panel. If you're using an older graphics card or chipset, try doing the fix in this thread (http://boards.dungeonrunners.com/showthread.php?t=3991).
Saved progress - In regards to the game saving your progress, it does, but only for whole levels at a time. You never have to go through all the levels of a dungeon to get to where you were when you last logged off. I'll explain in detail - on the obelisk, there are three possible locations for you to save your progress:

http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa64/ripper_mcgee/Dungeon%20Runners/obelisk.jpg

Waypoint Scroll - when you use a scroll, you can use the obelisk to teleport back to the exact location of the scroll. A scroll is erased when you: use another scroll, explicitly reset instances using the right-click context menu or implicitly reset instances by logging out for more than 15 minutes or joining a group.
Waypoint Compass - when you use a compass, you can teleport back to the beginning of any instance (except for HDoL levels). The compass location is erased when you use another compass, but the compass locations persist through reset instances, which makes them permanent.
Last Red Portal - the game automatically saves the last red door you used and this save point persists through instance resets, which makes it permanent. The red portal is the easiest way to save your progress through a dungeon. If, for example, you ran Algernon 1 - 4 and then logged off immediately after going through Algernon 5, you'd be able to use the Last Red Portal to login to Algernon 5 the next time you logged in. Be careful, though, that you don't go through some other red portal before you log out. A common mistake by new players who don't know about the save point system is that they'll run back into Algernon 1 to turn in quests before they log out. Because this is the last red portal they used, that's what's saved for the next time they login.
Base Camps - There's a fourth option not explicitly listed on the obelisk. All dungeons, except for Dew Valley Forest, HDoL (Horrific Dungeon of Legend) and Mutant Mania (the last dungeon, so far), have a base camp on level 5. This gives you a shortcut into a dungeon, which means that you'll never have to run an entire dungeon after you've found it's base camp.

Hope this helps! Have fun!

Something else to consider, in regards to saved progress: If you are grouped and bypass a portal by teleporting to a group member, you don't get "credit" for the level you're on. You must go through a red door your self or use a waypoint compass to save your progress for the next play session.

Which can also be a very valuable asset. If you have some carefully saved locations on your obelisk, but run with a group in a different place, be careful NOT to go through a red portal but always teleport to a group member. Thus the places you have saved on YOUR obelisk will not change.

For the map go into your options then graphics look for Anti-alias and set it to off it will show the details and explored areas in a dungeon yes the orange portal it saves the last portal you entered or you can use a waypoint compass and keep it till you use another compass
