I have had the same issue, although I'm blaming it on having shared video memory.. Anyone with a dedicated(256+mb) video card have any fps issues at the same place? |

XP or Vista? 32 bit or 64 bit? I'm running on a Dell Inspiron E1705 laptop with the following: Core2 Duo 2.16GHz processor 2GB 667MHz SDRAM Nvidia GO 7900GS 256MB I run the game with the following settings: AntiAlias = 0 (I force it in the Nvidia Control Panel) FoliageAmount = 10 Fullscreen = true FullscreenHeight = 1200 FullscreenWidth = 1920 Gamma = 5 (brightness) LightBloom = 2 Specular = true UISize = 1 VSynch = false (forced on in NVidia Control Panel) Generally speaking, I rarely run into any fps issues. I have, on occassion, had slowdowns in snowing zones, but never consistently. So, in my case, I'm running on hardware that's older than yours and less powerful, but at a higher resolution and with fewer problems. Why? Have you tried a clean driver install, is your system optimized for gaming (no processes running in the background, defragged, etc...)? |
