 Ahhh!

I don't check the forums for two days and the boards go to hell ;)

Anyway though....

cash shop: good idea, we need more money for the game to grow and expand, i wouldn't be able to use it, but nice for the people who can. :)

1150% exploit: i agree with what most people have said already, i've tried it a few times myself and it is extremely hard and i would say there really is nothing that needs to be changed, yes the rewards are great, but if you can do it then you deserve that million or so gold from mmm.

as to first part about download: i convinced a friend of mine to start playing, but whenever the download was almost finished, it would just like... stop. This happened multiple times, and drove him to the point that he wasn't going to even try anymore, so i let him try out the game on my comp. After playing about 5-10 lvls he loved the game so much that he found a new comp to use and went out to buy the box. If he hadn't known someone that played DR he would be part of that 30%.

and Forty: please leave, you are not helping anything and obviously have no idea about anything that you're talking about, I always try to be nice to everyone, but you are beyond the point of respect, and i know there is nothing i can say to change your mind.

Btw it took me like an hour and a half to read all those posts lol :D

I simply respec as a mage, keep BSOD up, have 150+ mana and hp potions. Run into rotgut and spam spacebar and M key while CRISPY CRITTERS spell DESTROYS the mobs. To me it's not hard at all, sure I can use 200 to 250 potions per run, but I just did about 5 runs in a row.

In 5 runs of getting the loot of 5 players doing rotgut I found:

About 65 purples.
3 rainbows.
and about 2 million gold.

All I had to do is over purchase and over spam potions.

Still seems like something that I shouldn't be allowed to do.

Actually I am curious, on the record....

Is it ok for me to keep doing this Stephen and should I tell everyone in the game how to do it???????????

Please respond as this is very important to me. - Thanks

P.S. 6 runs, just found another rainbow.

After seeing "BSOD" a few times I felt like pointing out that, in DR's case, it's BSoL... I know, not important, but...

I can't speak for Steve, but lots of players have been running solo 1150 runs for quite a while (balz bug or not). I think the biggest deterrent to this, after the latest build goes live, are the increases to mob damage, hp, and crit chance.

On the PTS, I spend about as many pots running regular insane balz as I do running 1150 solo balz on live. It will probably still be possible but much less pracitcal, I think.

Is it an exploit? That's debatable. I can see that point of view for sure. However, as Ripper pointed out, the monsters are increased in difficulty. So, they are harder to kill. It's almost a wash.I don't view it as an exploit. I see it as a feature of the game, one that I and I'm sure plenty of others would not like to see removed.

Well adding all these things is all great and good but what about some way to increase player replayability? I mean how about increased randomness in the levels at least? Like some straight passageways and stuff, maybe some static zones now that this new download scheme is coming?

Make all Rbs MEMBER until lvl 85..would give non-mems a reason to stick around and by then they will want rbs everyone else has and possibly become a said member.

Ok, I was around for the closed beta for 1 week before they through the game open. Doesn't make a bit of difference. My highest level character is 70. Some because I don't play enough. Some because I have a tendency to delete my characters instead of using respec.

I played the longest time as a non-member. If it wasn't for that option I would never had tried the game. When I was able to subscribe I did so. I hated the idea of renting a game. If I didn't own it I wouldn't pay for it. I even stopped renting videogames from stores. I hated renting that much. This game changed my mind on that score.

Playing with only blues didn't make the game impossible. It only added a little more of a challenge. Along with less thinking about which piece of gear was best. I had fun playing with only blues. Just like I have fun playing as a subscriber. It was nice being able to stack potions too. I hated buying 40 potions and having it take up my inventory.

Free players don't get everything that the paying members get. They suffer from an expensive and constant nerf. Have a lot less perks. All the microtransaction system will do is create more tiers of different kinds of players. You will have:
Non-Members
Paying Non-Members
Members
Paying-Members

This game is a lot of fun if you don't pay for it. It is a lot more fun if you do. All the team is looking for is ways to not destroy the fun for certain types of players. They are looking for ways to increase the fun for other types of players.

The only other game that I have seen that cares even the slightest about the players was Mythos. I still can't wait to see what the team will do next. They didn't do nearly the job of caring that Dungeon Runners team has done though.

One poster said a lot about having Ideas and opinions on fixing things. It was all air. I never read a single Idea or opinion on this thread by the poster that would actually effect the game. It was just hot air. Like a bad fart in the forums.

?Loot Exploit?. I don't see why it needs fixed. It should be added as a difficulty that won't change as you add party members. The easiest way to fix it though would be to not remove the players drop chances even after they were kicked. Just leave them in there , as if they are still in the party , untill the player comes to the next set of enemies with the adjusted loot percentage for current party size.

Thanks Stephen for all your posts. They were very informative. For the most part. Thanks for caring so much for the players. Thanks for all the times you wooped me at PVP on the PTS. It is fun to play with you in game and hear your thoughts on the forums.

I had more to post. Forgot it though while reading all the other post.

Edit: Remembered something. The only time I ever saw the servers at capacity was when they were trying out a new gimmick to get in customers. When the game went public. When the WOW was advertising it. When the box set went on sale. So saying this game is going down the crapper isn't true. It needs something that keeps the players here. That is what the problem is. I am sure they are fixing that problem too.

Ya, I had some friends who were members but eventually just got bored of the game. They were the same people who played diablo 2 straight for 3 years so it says alot about the game being a bit repetitive. They just wish it had some more unique enemies and maps, things like groups of glooms was what made diablo 2 more fun. And something other than mazes.

We will definitely have a "cash shop". We call them microtransactions. At some point in the not-too-distant future, you will be able to purchase a currency called "Townston's Universally Recognized Dollars". You will be able to use these dollars to buy buffs (i.e. double xp, gold drops, loot drop %), remove soulbinding from items, remove membership requirements from items, purchase pets, 100 potion packs, gold vouchers and other vanity items. Each item will be in the form of a usable scroll or voucher in your inventory so that you can trade them to others if you like. This is the number one thing on my list for next year... and it represents a potentially HUGE upside for the game. This allows people to pay as they go for only the features they like. And, of course, they don't have to pay for anything if they don't want to.

Good to see that you have a plan. This gives me more confidence in your game, and even though I haven't actually played in over a month now, I can see myself coming back to it after some changes have been made.

You kind of have a point here... this is the main reason I stopped playing, the game is pretty small map wise, and repetitive (aside from my other gripes about it).

And yeah, people not only play Diablo 2, but there are people still playing Diablo one, which is now around 12 years old, but Diablo and other classic games just seem to have certain almost magical properties to them that allows them to keep players no matter how relatively crappy they are compared to modern games... but also newer games are much more competitive with each other and therefore tend to have shorter lifespan in general with players.

I know Stephen said they do not decide what ads are in game, and I plan on subbing again as soon as I get over my new found SWG addiction. I would just like to ask to please look into as much as you can the Tabula Rasa ads staring me in the face. First HG:London gets stolen by the Koreans then TR gets shut down it is all just too much QQ :). Just dont give me a painful reminder of my dead TR toons if you want me to play this game.

About the nerfing all I gotta say is weclome to ncsoft and check out the updates on Guildwars once they added pvp to dungeon runners I knew the nerfing would begin thats just ncsofts way they think by nerfing certian spells that they think might be "overpowering" they are helping you out... now certian spells that will be used in pvp are going to be nerfed if they are effecting gameplay in pvp and the people in pve will suffer. It got so bad on guildwars they made pve spells and pvp spells seperate and it took them 4 years just to do that.

Well, I see your comments like this:

This is NCSoft's house and we're all just visitors here..... If NCSoft decides to implement something they will and there's really not much anyone can do about it....

At least if you had read past postings, you'd have seen that the Devs take our suggestions and feedback from playing the pre-release builds on the PTS seriously and from time to time actually incorporate those changes in the full game if they add balance or fix a problem or are genuinely beneficial...

Unlike most game's where it's "Their way or the highway"..cough...cough... Age of Conan....cough...

The only option we as consumers have is if we don't like a change, vote with our wallets and leave the game and go play another one.

Not being argumentative or trolling... just "keeping it real"... :)
