Chrome What's the deal with GeBin? Googling it brings up next to nothing. It was just added to download.com a few days ago, has only one review and very few downloads. Also, the developer's website is down (at least as of now). As it is, it's not "real" developer. The dev's (Big Tree World) website is a subdomain of another (elementfx.com) and the contact email is at a hotmail account? Oh yea - it looks like ass in the screenshot on download.com. I smell viral marketing... Edited by Ripper_McGee (10/15/08 10:05 AM) |

I mainly use Mozilla Firefox on the PC's in our home. I tried Opera, but I'm so used to using Firefox that nothing else every really gets used. On the Mac I use Firefox and Safari. -------------------- ~Lady Vady~ LadyVady - 100 MsAbbyNormal - 41 Last night I lay in bed looking up at the stars in the sky and I thought to myself, where the heck is the ceiling... |

One reason I like Chrome, other than it's incredibly clean, simple interface, is that it runs each tab as a separate process, which means a crash in one doesn't affect the other tabs (unlike Firefox or IE). I've tried Safari for windows and HATED it. It literally makes my eyes hurt due to the way it renders fonts. I've also tried Opera, but didn't like it enough after a few minutes to ever use it again. |

I've never actually tried it for windows, but the Mac runs it well of course. Sometimes I have to use it for things that Firefox can't be. -------------------- ~Lady Vady~ LadyVady - 100 MsAbbyNormal - 41 Last night I lay in bed looking up at the stars in the sky and I thought to myself, where the heck is the ceiling... |

Normally I use firefox, but on a mac I'll also use safari, because well, safari seems to be completely optimised on a mac and every page loads so fast. But mostly I use firefox simply because I love the extensions. If you've never used an extension before, I highly recommend trying Tab Mix Plus, they just updated it too so it works on Firefox 3. Easily the best extension I've ever used Although...they have had some issues with Firefox 3, so it might pay to wait a while for them to patch a few things up. Well you can always disable an extension if it's causing you some issues. |

FYI - in the month or so that I've been running Chrome, not a single pop-up has gotten through. None. I see that there are pop-ups, but don't get them like I do in Firefox 3 (without additional extensions, that is). I do still have problems with my work's crappy web-based mail client, but that's the only problem I have with it. |
