All have both strengths and weaknesses. It's more a matter of preference really, since you aren't locked in to any specific archetype (mage, ranger or fighter), and you can use skills from all 3 classes.

Best suggestion is that if you're into PVP, log on to the PVP server and talk to the people who play there--I'm sure they can give some tips to you, as most of us here on the forums don't really PVP.

Other than that, you can always read up on the different skills and just go wild experimenting with different builds, since you can reset your attributes at any time (provided you have enough coins to do it).

You can see some PvP-builds right here.

There is no good class for PvP, only whats good for you.
If your asking what class is overpowered right now I'd have to tell you Fighter with Flaming Buddy and Holly Roller.
However mage and ranger are still good.

You should also remember to find gear very close to you level and only use gear that helps your build (for example not a +slashing armor if your using a +piercing weapon).

Also lower levels will have a hard time beating higher levels they draw in matches.
Also remember that up to level 10 (or is it 15 now?) players are nurfed and are highly unlikely to win a PvP match.

I'd recommend a Karate class. That's pretty good for PVP.
Tae-kwan-do, Ju-Jitsu, or Judo are also good choices as well.

Try looking up Muay Thai instead...absolutely brutal. Good for picking up strike power.

Though there's a reason most people in competitions like UFC use submission style arts instead...like Greco-Roman wrestling .

They aren't nerfed, only the major bugs that allowed level 1 players with full yellows to destroy everything. That was a long time ago, but it was also the inspiration for "twinks", you can thank LegendRunner and RangedRange for that one :P.

However it is recommended that you wait until level 10 to join pvp. Since uniques start dropping at this level, and this is the lowest level mythics available. And keep in mind that in order to really be able to hold your own at that level, it requires either outside help, or your own higher level character to farm gear for you. Full uniques can get you by for the most part, with the majority of pvpers. However the upper 100-200(out of 500ish) are more seasoned and better geared pvpers, so don't expect to come in and have a chance against everyone you face.

Running for entire matches is bad form, not cool, and just plain annoying. Kiting is another story, and i know you can find more information on that here in these forums. There is tons of information here on these forums on many many aspects of pvp.

If you happen to be a member and are interested in getting into pvp I do have some unique gear that i collect when farming for my stuff, mostly jewelry since thats the hardest to obtain. You can send me a pm and i'll hook you up with a few things to get you started. I recommend that if you really want to get into it, that you use one of your character slots and level it up to at least level 15 or 16(best option for available skills) as whatever class you would like to play, then you can go from there and gather gear.
