But don't worry, you'll get a RB soon. It's just really random. With one char I got my first at lvl 16 and with another I were closer to lvl 50 so just hang in there. They will come.

It's funnier when they just ask for any rainbow. The person has no idea why they want it they just want one because so many people have some.

I was always jealous watching people get them around me but realized later... even as a non-member you're not going to be able to use most of them. Then the chances that a non-mem drops that you can actually use is slimmed down a bit as well. Also, it takes many member rainbows for someone to trade/give you a non-member one anyways.

No, nothing can be sold in DR. You can trade though. There is a market chat channel just for that.

Yes, well we all want a lot of things, but most of us realize that we often have to either actually work at getting something or offer up a trade. Last time I checked though, if you pony up enough gold, the Amazon may have a rainbow you wish to buy...you just have to be persistent and patient.

Here's another scenario: You play the game and as you level you make friends along the way, you help others and sometimes others may help you. All the gear that you use while you level, until you reach 100, is constantly changing so that lovely little ranger rainbow you want right now because you're changing classes really is only truly effective for five levels or so and then guess what?! you'll need a new weapon...but I digress. Back to my scenario. See you make yourself a part of the community, be nice, joke around, play, don't beg and low and behold good fortune may smile upon you and because you've done the things I've listed you'll either get some rainbow drops yourself (which either you use, trade or bestow on someone as a friendly gesture--I myself received just such a gift playing last night from a nice person) or like I just mentioned because you've made friends and played nicely, someone may bestow a rainbow on you too.

Then again, he could just grind to level 100 like I did, with no 'help' from anyone (hard to be social and chat when you're constantly killing things), and like you said-- EARN your gear.

Of course, if you do that, like me, you'll be at level 100 and STILL not have any rainbow items equipped.

Rainbow items aren't the be-all end-all of the game. Yeah, they're generally better than the purples & yellows, but you CAN play the game (and quite effectively, I might add) without them.

PVP--that's another matter entirely, and since I don't PVP, that's kind of a moot point.
