Hey guys!

I am on developing and dynamic signatursystem for you guys.
Since I have to do some changes on requesting the image, it can't be used as a real signature at the moment but I would like to get some feedback on this.

atm there are 7 Versions of the Signature.
Those Backgrounds are done by a pal in a short time, but I think they'll do the stuff. If you want, you can post or send me a pn with better images and maybe even with already integrated placeholders for name, title and stuff.

Since only 4 images per post are allowed, I've got to do dbl post.

Please remember, this is ALPHA and the URL will change, so you can already play around and review this thread for updates.

So post your wishes and stuff here!

Thats what I ment with suggestions.
Sure. I can do multiple instances of these.
I can do PVE-Sigs, PVP-Sigs.
Every Stat which DR allowes me to request via XML I can use.

Just give me some Ideas of combinations you would like to see, and I see what I can do

If an Admin would switch the option on, to allow dynamic images (To use [img] even on .php? URL's), you could use them already for tests ^^

I'm happy to see that my idea is being appreciated and I'll try to set it up fast, so you can use it for real.

These are really neat. Though I will probably only add my main character to my signature to save space.

Lol I have no idea what you mean by 100x300 pic Im not really that good at PC lingo and stuff to that nature.

goto image editing program. Resize the Pic to 100 Height X 300 Width in Pixels.

In IrfanView. It would be:
Image
Resize/Resample
Set new size
to 300 Width X 100 Height
may need to deselect Preserve aspect ration

So wait, when I resize is he going to render it or does he want me to to all the editing and he will link to data stream because Im no good at editing.

It is still referencing the character feeds that were taken down until some bugs with them could be fixed. It still show my main at level 23, when I have since reached level 25.

@EFchen: I like the way it looks. However, like Khazandra I avoid PvP. I've been working on learning a bit about php. I used php in a couple of recent classes at college, and would like to continue learning about it. Would it be possible for me to see the source code?

It is 300px * 100px ^^

Just crop the part of the image you want then do the resize and post it after you have got it cropped and resized the way you like it. Or just post the base image and I will do a horrible job of it. Tell me what you want in the image though. I tend to butcher things every chance I get.

Im just going to make an imagine of the dude with the cinder helm and the backround on fire. And on the right size somehow I want to incorporate my char holding his dual executioners in full cinder (ty redriot I stole your look ^^)

Theres a full body pic and the helm. If you can could you do your image thingy or whatever Im really no good at image and editing stuff....please?

That's too bad, a lot of the older character viewers seemed to really benefit from collaboration and code-sharing... any particular reason?

Yip. I always (sorry for the insulting word) got fucked when I shared my Sourcecodes. I learned to share only with ppl I know and can trust.
I don't want to be raped again, that someone copies, steals or something like that. I will take any improvement I get and try to put it in, but I won't publish any work again. Not ment offensive.

I'm assuming you don't mean that literally... so I guess my follow-up is, what has actually happened? Was the code presented by someone else as entirely their own work? Was it just frustrating that other people made their own changes and shared it without your control?

Personally, that doesn't bother me: often I'm not able to share my work, for business reasons, but when I can, I tend to share it under the ISC license that lets anyone do anything they want with the code - except remove my copyright claim.

But different strokes for different folks, it's your code and you should do what you want with it.

"Sort of" is a bit of an under statement. I not very good at image manipulation.

I'll add a function, that you can use your own image.
But I have to look, if here are no dynamic images are allowed, I will have to do it via database.

But I'll find a way.
Then you can host your own Background on e.g. imageshack and still get the stats

I am already developing a MySQL supported version.
So you can setup your image as wanted with even own backgrounds.

What stats else do you want on the Image ?

Hrm...other stuff ideas...I don't know if they're possible but hey--they're ideas:

• Online / Offline indicator (maybe via a small red 'light' for offline, and a green one for online, perhaps in the upper right corner?)
• Last on indicator (would show up as "NOW" if online/offline indicator light was green, "TODAY" if it was red, and they'd been on today, or the date (in MM/DD/YY format) showing the last date the character had been on.
• Hotkey bar with rollover data (maybe across the bottom, to the left of the 'time played')
• Gold indicator (of course, in a yellow/gold color)--maybe moving the time played line up 1, and putting a gold indicator in the bottom right?

Will post more if I can squeeze my tiny brain some more.

Would be a cool thing, but not possible, since this info is missing.
I don't have a timestamp of online/offline to do this.
It's a signatureimage. So no Mouseovereffects or extra stuff is possible.
I think it's better to keep the gold out of the sig.
Think about, you having 4 Quadzillion Gold and every little noob pms you about "Can I have Gold?"

But I can make this one optional.

We're many who choose not to PvP so a way to not show the PvP-thingy is all, the rest is perfect.

Well, since it's impossible to trade gold, kind of makes that issue moot.
Gold is easily view-able on the other character viewers, so it's not like it's a 'secret' of how much gold any particular character has.

Anyway you can add what boss we conquered most?

That would be cool.
Some Mobcounter or stuff.
But that info is not given.
I am still waiting for that online Friendlist, then I can put in "Friends online 3/30" or something like that

And when Posses go live, can we get them added to the signature too?
