vB post 140481 - 09/29/08 02:25 AM

1.I luv Dungeon Runners! It is so kool. But it might be a little bit too good. It seems like there is just not enough contain in the game. People are already the lvl cap (100) and the game has only officially been out for 1 year. I suggest add 20 more lvls possible. But to help the development team, you should sell it in an expansion package(avaible online and in C.D.).

2.Also, the character title is somewhat useless. You know... that... title with 3 names and the type of character. (blah blah blah fighter) It really doesn't do anything.

3.You should also tell players where the servers are located. So they can go to the world nearest their location for less lag. Even though the game isn't laggy, it helps to know that the server the player is on is the less laggiest. Some people still have DSL or Dial-up(maybe not dail-up but the speed of it).

note: I'm really worried about the game. It seems cool but when PlayNC cut workers who develop the team, it seems the game is too free. I think the team should leave the free version as it is now, and put more content in the members version.
If some of these are answered or resolved, please tell me.

1. Suggested and shot down multiple times. Increasing the level cap does nothing but to slightly hinder the inevitable. Good end-game content should be introduced, not increase the level cap which solves nothing. Besides, lots of people have been farming Level 100 and Tiered Rainbows, this will mean all that farming is wasted: and since Tiered Rainbows are technically Rainbows with a level requirement of more than 100, it could mean they will no longer be usable to current level 100s, which can be bad.

2. It's just for fun.

3. Um, we do know where the Servers are located. There's a flag next to each server...

What he said.

About the future of Dungeon Runners, you have nothing to worry about. In the early days the crew were really small but still managed to give us regular updates, even more often than lately since the more concentrated group, the faster they program what's needed and don't have so many side-updates. And running tests before the update goes live goes faster too.

And welcome to the forums!

I'd post something A) Cranky. B) Negative or C) Sarcastic in reply to this but I'm just to tired...
I think I'll just say (for the jillionth time) 'I wish people would actually play (and come to understand) the game before trying to slap their ideas onto it.'
If it was meant to me a cookie-cutter mmo it would be like that already.
Now; sleep.

I wouldn't mind a lvl 120 lvl cap but not just yet :/ and members only lvl cap? Thats just dumb dude. As suggested we need more end game content thats all. Now go train or something. And its been out longer than a year I thought and if not then we are off to a great start because Ive never seen a game with such quality this good in only a year :/

Same here, wouldn't mind a higher level cap (150 maybe?) but adding to the content is always the priority. Also, even though I'm lvl 100 since some 10 months back I still haven't gotten the ultimate armor I'm looking for. And I'm only up to 2 Stupid Strengh (it's a really rare skill for you who didn't know).

At rank 2 it increases my strength by 10% (but prevents all other skills for 45 seconds) so at high ranks it will probably make me loads much stronger. If I ever get high rank in it, I'll most likely go for Stupid Strength instead of Swivel Arm upon ordinary running. That is, if it's not possible to go Swivel just before SS. I haven't really used it yet since 10% is kinda low so I don't know if I can or not.

The viewers aren't updating. All viewers show my character from before the patch (a ranger), and i've changed back to a mage after the patch.

Of topic.
We know their not updating.
The feed was turned off just after the C4 patch.

Increasing the level cap would be a bad idea imo, all the old lvl 100 players who have spent months and months farming the best loot would be in a word, screwed.
It would only push 'endgame' farther off, not solve it.
I don't find leveling all that much fun, I like to farm, but whats the point of farming stuff nobody wants?
If someone gets tired of being 100 just make a 2nd character.

Whoa. I think I replied to the wrong thread.

Going back on topic, I don't really think increasing the level cap would mean to anything. A higher level would just mean you'll dish a little more damage, and have a little more hp/mp, but the monsters you'll tackle will be the same as your level anyway, so it kind of doesn't even matter.

I will admit that it kind of gets boring when I log on.

Note : I don't pvp.

"Hmm, what is there to do..."
"I think i'm gonna farm bosses for a few minutes."
"Fun!"
*half an hour later*
"Okay, what else..."
"I guess i'll just hang out by the amazon and hope there's some useful stuff there."
"Wishing Well!"
"I think i'm gonna farm bosses for a few minutes."
"Nah."

I did, but the fighter is still more fun than the mage. I enjoy hitting things.

And now that I have a new fun skill to play with, that actually hits from a distance, farming roc all by myself is surprisingly easy and fun. The mighty ray of Gosh's power will smite all!

Kinda makes me wish there we're more divine spells so I could play a straight-up divine mage.

Yeah, absolutely no end-game content. You can do almost everything at level 50 that you can do at 100, just with different bosses, whoopie. "Make another character". Yeah, that's stimulating...go through all the same dungeons you've already gone through about a million times just to achieve that perfect level 100, to do it again...waste of time. I'm not saying people won't enjoy being level 100, because obviously, some do. It's not for everyone though. I've made a level 100, then deleted him right off the bat. I don't feel like being limited to a certain boss to farm for gear, like level 100's were confined to Abby/HDoL3 for the longest time. As I suggested before, level 100's should be able to go back to the older bosses, like Vergrim or Rotgut, and fight him as though he were Abby: still getting whupped, still getting good armor/weapons, still getting good money.
