Same old issues that Still haven't been fixed...and some new issues
vB post 140405 - 09/28/08 05:59 PM |
Holy Roller! ...enough said. This skill is absolutely essential to fighters for catching mages, yet it's completely [expletive deleted]. Especially with the new maps that have lots of obstacles, HR takes flawed paths to the target and it cancels out of nowhere- without even attempting the stirke. I know things have been tough on the devs, and, admittedly, I'm a bit frustrated right now, but this bug has been around since the last patch, and there has been essentially no official word about it. On another note, Chill Bill is apparently tripping some temporal/spacial vortex as he will start warping all around the arena in a frenzy. This happens a lot when you try to attack him, but also at seemingly random moments. |

A bug with Holy I posted quite a while back was that it would active if player1 was on one side of a wall and player2 on the other, making the fighter zip all around the map instead of only once in line of sight. -------------------- DarthNinja lvl 100 Arch Ninja ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Webmaster of DarthNinja.com Darth's Ninja Shoppe " Your source for the best Dungeon Runners items " "The Thread Necromancer!" |

Darth is that a complaint? Saying that roller should only go forward? If so this comment is a response, if not please disregard the following: Holy roller would be useless if it were a straight line. PEople would just dodge by zigzagging or cutting around a corner. And also, its like shadow bolt for mages, why can't fighters have one too? On another note, we should give rangers a tracking skill its only fair. I would say in the form of a heatseeking missile. Make it base fire damage and have a chance for knockbacks. Holla my ranga pahtnas. -------------------- http://demosthenez.100webspace.net/d...=KingofCarnage |

It's had to explain without a pic, what I'm talking about is the spell activating with the fighter running away from the target in order to get to the target... Often times this happens the spell will quit before the fighter reaches the target. It would be better if the fighter walked within 'range' of the target before the spell activates. This has something to do with the distance being calculated 'as the crow flys' (straight line) and not the actual distance the fighter has to travel. -------------------- DarthNinja lvl 100 Arch Ninja ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Webmaster of DarthNinja.com Darth's Ninja Shoppe " Your source for the best Dungeon Runners items " "The Thread Necromancer!" |

The distance at which Holy Roller triggers it's charge is the DIRECT distance between the user and the target, and not the "true" distance. That's why if the user and the target are very close to each other DIRECTLY but separated by a long wall, the user will zip around the entire stretch of the wall (even if it was, say, a kilometer long... exaggeration) to get to the target. Which is sad. But not a great issue, IMO. |

Not so much but it's sort of a glitch (I don't want to use the word exploit) in PvP where suddenly a fighter moves at a speed far greater that of a full speed mage with SoH on. -------------------- DarthNinja lvl 100 Arch Ninja ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Webmaster of DarthNinja.com Darth's Ninja Shoppe " Your source for the best Dungeon Runners items " "The Thread Necromancer!" |

Heh yea Ive used it. But usually only in the case of runners. I didn't know it was a glitch, and since I dissapprove of nearly all glitches Ill stop using it to my advantage. -------------------- http://demosthenez.100webspace.net/d...=KingofCarnage |

I actually find it fun to piss fighters off by blocking their Holy Roller spell with a well timed Smackdown :} -------------------- DarthNinja lvl 100 Arch Ninja ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Webmaster of DarthNinja.com Darth's Ninja Shoppe " Your source for the best Dungeon Runners items " "The Thread Necromancer!" |

It doesn't have to be well-timed. As long as you activate it early enough and it doesn't get resisted, smackdown will always preempt HR. The smart fighters learn to not activate HR immediately. but let's not forget the topics at hand: Holy Roller is glitched and Chill Bill is glitched. |

I'm guessing the HR glitch is due to the nature of how HR works, and the Chill Bill Glitch is due to it's new AI. =/ |

Heh I love running at mages, waiting for them to use their knockbacks then using HR. Pisses them off. -------------------- http://demosthenez.100webspace.net/d...=KingofCarnage |

A well timed Righteous Stomp can block a delayed Holy Roller if it is anticipated. =) But that is irrelevant. |

Raged. Leave. Seriously I do not care how much experience in this game you have. GTFO. Stephen has been working hard to get things in order. Why don't you go blow some guy on WoW because frankly your stupid ass negativity on a DR forum is unnecessary. So how bout you take your ass right over to RuneScape or somewhere else where they accept egotistical douchebags who think that everyone else is doing something wrong and not themselves. Get fucked. EDIT: Refuses to do anything about it? Why do you think the fucking posses are taking so long? They are tweaking stuff. They have a little bit better things to worry about than pricks who are too stupid to keep bill healed. -------------------- http://demosthenez.100webspace.net/d...=KingofCarnage Edited by KingofCarnage (10/02/08 07:47 PM) |

Frankly I think Bill is underpowered now, he should only melt in PvP - if at all. -------------------- DarthNinja lvl 100 Arch Ninja ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Webmaster of DarthNinja.com Darth's Ninja Shoppe " Your source for the best Dungeon Runners items " "The Thread Necromancer!" |

The point of the Melt was to make Chill Bill only viable to Frost Mages: which makes Bill pretty much unused, since Frost Mages are inferior in almost every way in PvE and PvP. |
