New to the game questions...
vB post 139369 - 09/21/08 07:28 PM

I have some questions before I start playing the game:

1. Is this a straight grind game or are there quests that actually give rewards/experience to make them worth doing?

2. Does it take a long time to level? (I remember in LastChaos that it took like 1 million+ points just to get to like level 23)

3. Are there pvp brackets or how does PvP system work?

Thanks ahead of time,

~Deceiver

There are quests that provide gold, kings coins or some times other items. The amount of experience points required to level does increase over time but unlike many games, there is a limit on levels (100).

I don't PVP much but from waht I know PVP can be done in groups. Tournaments will have brackets but otherwise I don't know of any. Everyone is made of equal level so that you can be L12 and still battle and L100 person.

There are lots of quest. They give king coins that can be turned in for new gear and gold that can be used to upgrade skills.

Getting to level 60 took me 2 days of game time and I was lazy. That was about 3 weeks of real time. It is fairly easy to level. I am just extremely lazy about it.

Their is a scoring system. Kinda. Other than that it is a free for all where everyone is kinda adjusted to level 101 based on how close they are to optimal in their equipment. mana isn't adjusted and a lot of the skills aren't adjusted. It is extremely fun. You really need someone elses input on this though. I tend to get my but kicked in PVP. I am no good at it.

Hey, don't forget that turning in most of the quests also gives 5 minutes of Cowbell, that means 5 minutes of 15% more Exp! The Cowbell can stack up to 30 minutes and disappears if you die.

It's mostly a straight grind, the quests can be fun but your not going to miss anything by skipping them.
They can however be a good way to get Kings Coins and gold if you don't farm much.

From level 1 to level 2 its 50 points (or about 10 mobs), from 99 to 100 (max level) its 25,000 points (if memory serves) so its not a huge amount.

Not really, there is a ranking system but its mostly just an addition to your name, for example: "DarthNinja 566 PvP Wins, 100% Power".
