There is another bug in pvp when u die u can minimize the game so u won't respawn . Pls fiks this problem it irritates me ,thx in advance

Isn't it amazing that words like 'minimize', 'respawn' 'problem' 'irritates' and 'advance' are spelled correctly, but words like 'u' and 'pls' and 'fiks' are so woefully misspelled that the irony of lazy typing and illiteracy is just killing me.

I rather see the bugs being reported than people not saying anything 'cause they're afraid people will be all over them for their spelling.

Not being able to spell is one thing; apathy is quite another. "Not wanting to waste time" to make an effort to be understandable implies to me that the poster has little respect for anyone to whom he may be trying to appeal.

I read recently that a college professor, after receiving an essay full of internet shorthand, is urging his English department to take action. The whole internet culture of indifference and irreverance toward language is having a real impact on society.

As far as people being afraid to post, it doesn't seem to stop the usual suspects. Wasa "doesn't care."

If you try to join basketball game, and you decide to dribble every eight steps and shoot from out of bounds, then shrug your shoulders when people call you out, you can expect to receive the same amount of respect that such behavior shows you have for others.

Besides, if a person wants to look like an illiterate or idiot, who are we to try and stop them?

And then there is dyslexia. I've talked to some here in the forum who I know suffer under it.
Others don't know English to good and I think it's brave of them to fight their way through to get themselves understood here even since half the words they type they just guess how they are spelled.

I think they're both brave to still participate in the discussions here.

Both those situations are obviously completely different. Our complaints are with those who resort to SMS-shorthand out of laziness.

This is an informal internet gaming forum, some people should lighten up. BTW thanks for the bug report Wasa.

Just like when speaking, everyone have a different dialect even in writing. Some type really correct, others in slang/speech and others in more of a shorthand/sms-style. I just mean that there's no need in making long posts complaining or remarking at how someone writes when the important issue is what he/she writes.

...unless the way they write is enough to distract from what they write. Just like in real life, an abyssmal enough way of speaking will make you sound like an idiot, regardless of what you're actually saying.

My whole point is that once in a while I'd love it if people realize that on the internet, your spelling and grammar are what your appearance is in the real world. It doesn't matter if you're a genius, if you're the written equivalent of an unwashed slob. There is, of course, a gray scale here but I would argue that my main point stands for all of us, no matter how much we try to claim otherwise. Just like everyone judges the people around them at least partly on their appearance, whether they realize they do it or not.

Now, if this was a thread and forum devoted to the proper use of English, then I'd be right there with you all to slam him for his apparent lack of English comprehension. However, that is not the case, this is a forum for people to come and help better the game by reporting bugs and technical difficulties which he did perfectly-- albeit with pretty poor spelling

If you come to a message board, for a free game, in which a large portion of the players are younger kids, as well as a lot people from foreign countries -- then you should expect posts with such grammatical problems.

As per His typing/spelling skills are pretty poor, however I would not call him lazy by any means, he took time to find or discover a bug (perhaps accidentally), but he then chose to take more time to make sure this bug was brought to the development teams attention -- believe me when I say a lazy person wouldn't even bother.

As far as I am concerned, all of you posting here complaining about how someone spells, are contributing to a far worse problem in relation to this forum -- I expect to see this sort of flaming and complaining in general, off topic, etc. -- However a serious forum such as bugs/technical Issues shouldn't be filled with complaints and rants about someones spelling ability.

Wasa -- comes here to post a bug, albeit with bad English -- ++1 for Wasa, he is using the forum for its proper use!

Everyone else complaining - Comes here to post rants/flames about someones English skills -- you are using this forum improperly --1 for you all! (I guess I fall into this category per this post, but it needed to be said)

Good point, and a useful reminder. I use the Today's Posts function in the Quick Links, so I don't always pay attention to which forum I am posting in. I'll try to do that from now on.

As for the rest of your post, though I can't speak for anyone else, I was talking in generalities and not intentionally trying to point a finger at anyone in particular. I rarely do that, but when I do try to point fingers, I generally use people's names.

Verified. Someone wanted to verify this so they minimized their game and their corpse didn't dissapear and respawn until they came back. I did the same for 1 min 30 sec and they knew the moment I had come back for my body had respawned.


Note: Don't run from matches. Yellow belly keeps you out of further matches for a full 5 minutes. Even on the PTS server.

Note2:Wishing Well's recharge is game time not real time. So you need to play for an hour before it recharges. My highest level character (60 at the time) had only been playing for 48 hours. So don't expect the well to recharge really fast. May be useful to have a Icon telling you the well is recharging.
