Hi. I like DR. :)
vB post 137311 - 09/08/08 09:50 PM

As a long time ranger-type, bolt-throwing, arrow-slinging player in many other MMOs...I'd like to say im very pleased with DR. I find it very reminiscent of two old PS2 favorites of mine, Champions of Norrath & Return to Arms....as such, I will be found in game turning all manner of things into fleshy pin cushions. I've been reading a bit of info about DR over the past month or so and im very happy to hear that it will still be around despite the recent hardships at NCSoft. To date, ive been bored to tears with other P2P MMOs and quite dissapointed with some of the F2Ps ive tried...so, im extremely happy about the familiar long-night, no-sleep PS2 sessions from long ago that DR looks to be inspiring once again.

I downloaded DR, played for 20min, and proceeded to sign up for the membership.

Thx, guys!

Welcome. The usual recommendation: get the box: 6 months membership discounted to the price of 4, plus hot gnome on gnome action.

Welcome to the game! It's great to find another who enjoys Rangers so much. Happy arrow slinging. I, too, recommend the box; avoid that pesky gnome envy that is sure to show up.

vB post 137347 - 09/09/08 07:09 AM

Hey there Itchee, nice to see another person join up in DR I recently joined up here as well about two days ago at least and find it pretty much a mixture of fable (Likeness wise that is) and Diablo. Hit me up with a message on here or on server 2 if you want to adventure the depths of dungeons filled with things that will make even Indiana Jones run away in fear.

PS: Yes get the box edition so you can get that bling gnome, it not only helps but how many games have bling gnomes? None unless you pay someone on WoW who is a gnome to be one XD

vB post 137357 - 09/09/08 08:18 AM

Ok...I guess i'll have to do that at some point....tho, question: since ive already signed up for the membership online, do I just buy the retail version and enter its product code, or whatever, to receive the bonuses? Will I just have the extra months of service tacked on to my existing account??

Thx.....

vB post 137367 - 09/09/08 09:21 AM

Adding the code from the box will postpone your next subscription-fee 6 months. You could remove your credit card info to be sure if you like though. Make sure you're logged out of the game when entering the code from the box. And yes, you'll get the bonuses and all within minutes. Wait a few before logging on to be sure.

vB post 137375 - 09/09/08 09:49 AM

To add to what LM said, once you enter the code and you sign on to look for your wonderful little gnome, you'll find him in your passives skills list. To use him, just place in the hotkey bar. He'll pick up gold all on his own and if you click the skill he'll pick up everything in his vicinity (yellow and below) and either convert it to gold, purple or on that rare occasion a rainbow item.

vB post 137453 - 09/09/08 10:26 PM

My poor little brother couldn't wait to get his gnome. So he spent $30 on a 6 month subscription. Just for me to wake up 2 hours later and tell him he can't get a gnome without the box. I don't know If he is going to be able to get the box now. I hope so.

I get the box in about another 2 or 3 days.

Sure he can. It'll be added to those six months, so he won't have to pay any for another year.

I think he might be referring to the fiddy bux. (30 + another 20)

Then again, even at fiddy bux, it's still a good deal.

duh, if you buy the box you actually get a deal on the monthly fee so even if you dont like the gnome it is still worth it to buy the box.

Sorry about Taking over your Thread. Hi. I must say though that Dungeon Runners is well worth every sent though that My brother and Me have put into it.

Every online game I have played so far has bean different. Mythos , Hellgate London, Exteel and Dungeon Runners. Dungeon runners is by far the most fun of them I have found so far. You are right it does remind me of some of the other games I used to play and like alot. It is like the best of those games put together.

Ranger is fun and Kicks in both PVP and PVE. Out of the 3 main builds I have had the most success and fun with ranger. Though mage isn't far behind that. Fighter is good too. Just walks to slow for me sometimes.

Glad to hear you too have found a favorite in this game.

... wow, that's about the absolute BEST example of the failure of the educational system I've seen in a while...

Here, have some punctuation marks!!:

This one is a comma: (,) It's used to break up long run-on sentences into coherent readable ones.

This one is a period: (.) It's used at the end of sentences.

'u' isn't a word. It's spelled "you".

Capitalization is important for the literate poster, as well. Words like Mage, and Rangers should be capitalized since they are proper nouns.

Try this out:

And another thing--If you want to level fast, you should be a Mage. Rangers suck as they are weaklings in PvP.

See--that's not so hard, and it's easy to understand. Not accurate by any stretch of the imagination, but at least the reader can understand.

lmao! That is too funny. BFK just say that like with the making of a Persian rug, you need to make at least mistake.

As for Wasa, I don't know what leveling and your thoughts on a Ranger's ability in the player vs. player (PVP) arena have to do with the other. Rangers can do just fine with either, it's simply a matter of preference.

Uh...thanks?

First off, I really wasnt interested in commentary on what class I should play. I know what I enjoy playing.
Secondly, Im not interested in pvp in this game...ive had my share of it in numerous other mmos, I do it currently in numerous other mmos (some of which have a far more robust system than this), and if I wanted thoughts on pvp in general....I would have asked for it.
Finally, I dont play games to "lvl fast". I play them for my enjoyment...not to race others to some level cap where I can then proceed to grind out gear in an attempt to 1up someone else in a virtual epeen contest.

In the future, Id suggest posting a better thought out response so you dont sound like a total douche....but if this wasnt your intention, then I apologize...but I digress...

Thx for your reply.
