Equipment and you!
vB post 136129 - 08/30/08 12:13 AM

I was wondering, although only level 13, I notice that even with a full set of rare armor ( with maybe one unique) the mobs on normal still give me a good fight. So my question is: Around 80+, do you require Relic/Mythic armor to stay on par with the monsters? Or can you get a full suit of mythic armor and be totally overpowered (which would be awesome).
Any help is appreciated!

I just noticed how bad off my gear is some of it is close to 10 lvls below my own lvl... http://www.threeplanetssoftware.com/...r/steelesinger even so Balz and Abby are the only 2 that have ever given me any real fight... Kaldour is not your lvl 13 i take it... and since you didn't specify a class i'm not sure what else to tell you...

I've can say I've never made it to 100 as a warrior but i know it can be done

If class matters, I'm a warrior. I just assumed since the game is geared towards soloing as much as it is grouping that any class could solo to 100. Just wanted to make sure I didn't NEED to have a full set of mythic to survive down the road. :P

Yup. 'Cept Balz is a biyatch to solo, but even he can be brought down.

It's not something to worry about. You get rbs from time to time, and there'll be times when you have to resort to purps or a good yellow. It's just a matter of compensating with protective skills and a few extra pots during the lean times.

Anyway, there's this little known trick you should try in order to keep flush with rbs. Go to world 7 and beg like there's no tomorrow. You'll get a little resistance at first, but just keep whining and begging until they hand over the goods.

Tingus, go to your room.

Kaldour, there are several factors to consider if you are having trouble with mobs. Equipment is one, but also your stats distribution, your skill setup and even play style. Perhaps if you posted your level 13 character's name, some of us could look at what you have on him/her.

it doesn't really. if you look at Bogey you will notice he is a warrior... and a lvl 100... but i respec'd him to mage for about 40 lvls because it was faster lvling as a mage than a warrior.... so i've never actually made 100 myself as a warrior

Damnage! What's an evil son of a bastage gotta do around here to be #1?

Anyway, you mean the world 7 thing isn't legit? Alright. I wanted to keep this tidbit to myself, but you're guilting me into sharing: Stephen said that the first person to get a DR logo tattooed on their ass will get a permanent loot drop bonus of 5000%. At least, that's what I heard, 'cause his mom uses the same dry cleaner as my friend's uncle's herpetologist. I'm only telling you this because mine is almost done -- just need to go back for the final color since I fainted the first time. Local ink guy is on vacation for a week, though. Hope nobody beats me to it.

I hate to break the news to you all, that offer expired already.

The new offer, while I haven't got the full details confirmed, is rumored to be very akin to this.

Hope that clears things up a bit.

Any class should be able to make it to 100 solo. It just depends on your playing style and how you build the character (statwise and what skills and equipment combos you use). You don't need all Rainbows. I would recommend , for an easier playing time , trying to get yellows , at least , that are as close to your level as possible.

I went with the Fragtastic Finger Bracelet (May Contain Traces of Nuts) -- apart from being ironically titled, it's got 13% growth... not that I really needed it.

Whoa there Ting...

Verification of the existence of your "Prince Albert" must be performed prior to final declaration of your 'victory', and awarding your prize. Can't quite figure out how to verify, since I have no desire at all to 'check' that sort of thing out, so I guess you're just outta luck, sorry.

Very true. Many purple's are even way better than their look-a-like Rainbow brother. And about solo'ing to 100, to many spec their chars for pure power instead of having a more even build which means they take way to much damage. Most players feels End is almost unnecessary almost.

Which if you check Bogey right now he's sitting at a very slim 11k hp but he has a 1200 str And he's wearing about 70% purples... +22% speed bonus is the reason for that. I think he maybe able to take Abby on insane now... haven't had a chance to try yet though.

Same with LordMagnus. 9220 Average DPS and I still haven't found exactly what I'm looking for, but my gear gives me +33% Attack Speed (Thanks to the +13 on the weapon). My gloves, boots and shoulders are purple. Gloves and Shoulders I'm still looking for better versions of (similar to the boots who has +slashing) so it will be even better further on.

This is, without a doubt, the weirdest first post I've ever seen here. Welcome to the forums though.

Well, not exactly... see, my friend's uncle, Brent Johnson, was conceived in-vitro in a clinic that shared office space with a genetics lab that was studying the salamander that can sometimes grow two penises (penii?). Long story short, a couple of interns from the clinic and the lab had a 'you got your chocolate in my peanut butter' sort of moment in the elevator, and they didn't want to get fired, so they kept it quiet.

No one realized anything was amiss for years -- until Brent hit adolescence, at which point he became known as Brent Johnson&Johnson. Needless to say, BJ&J has some unique medical needs.

It has seemed to me in my travels through DR that the mobs you face seem to be geared toward your level, the stats and gear can be helpful. They spawn to match whoever is in the lead, be it in a group or solo.

Remember, each type of goon has it's own strengths and weaknesses. Find and exploit.

I have 100'd all 3 classes and seem to have gotten the same results.
