I didn't know there were so many free MMORPG's out there. Guess I will goof off on other games until the next chunk.

Number 10 only. I've tried many of those games and, for me at least, I found many lack that certain 'extra' who keeps a game interested. Cool we're on the list though.

I might give Atlantica a try when it's opened. I yearn for the turn-based systems of the old consoles.

Heroes III. A must have for anyone who enjoys turn-based strategies.

There are a lot more free or "free" MMOs then the ones on that list... not any really good ones that spring to mind, Maximum PC has done several articles on free MMOs, not sure if they have any of those articles on the site though...

Sword of the New World is a interesting free game... you create 3 characters and you can play with them all on a team (ie. make your own group).

I think for all the "free" games I've played, DRs still is the highest quality... But then, I don't play it for free so what do I know :P

Requiem got number one!? *shakes head* I beta tested the game and played for some time after it opened. In short, I will say it has/ had potential, but too many problems to put up with it. How it ended up at the top and DR last is beyond me.

The original: Kings Bounty and "Heroes of Might and Magic II" + Addons was the best you've ever could have.

Also Fallout 1 & 2 have been just perfect as they have been (I hope the time thinggy was taken right by me? ^^)

Requiem deserves Place 1.
It's a new thing in the whole place.
The gameplay is just great and all you will ever need for free and open play.
But Dungeon Runners would deserve Place 3/4 due to it's unique style and the nice humor at the players cost ^^

Also I really miss "Perfect World" in the list.
The game is awesome in graphics and the huge world and different mounts is just great :>

A buggy, lagging Korean grind fest with little to no developer interaction. I would not call that deserving of number one.

Hm, okay it was programmed by Korean but it's programmed for the western communities (Europe and USA) and it's not pure grinding. The quests are quite good for a free MMORPG and have more than just killing. No developer interaction? This thursday comes Patch 3.0 with a whole new species, and way more content. The bugs get lower with each week and I don't know where you have lags. The only lags I have is maybe 3 times a week and that, if it's long, for 5 secs and I can REALLY live with that

Bah. I am not about to turn this thread into a debate over a game. If you like it, great. In my opinion, it was lacking much and not deserving of a "number one" listing. Everyone is entitled to his or her own opinion... However wrong yours may be. ~

Personally I think that DR should be #1.
However,in a few days,there will be a new game coming called Runes of Magic

I've heard that won't be so good. Some german "mix of many mmo's" kinda thing.
