It seems to me like lately there has been a lot more spam of items(from real life not DR), and "other" things on IR lately. I dont really think it's right and if it's not stopped than eventually, maybe even soon the whole website could be overrun by spam.

Would it be possible for like the devs to be able to delete users, like if someone linked something not related to DR?Just recently i saw links for a baseball pitching machine, vera wang perfume, and some gardening thing. If we dont stop this now, in a year or so i dont think we'll be able to anything more with IR, because it will be completely overrun by spam. We need to try to stop this now.

I'm not following you, where do you get the spam? In you mail? In the game? You mention the website, do you mean this forum? 'Cause I don't see any spam-posts at all.

The thing about Idearunners is that it's completely UNofficial. The site is something Steve set up in his spare time as a test for something more official later on. The key difference between IR and the official suggestion board is the ability to vote up/down for ideas to get some sort of a consensus. Steve obviously has no time at the moment to really keep a close eye on the site. For a very long time there was no spam at all. There has been a suggestion to put IR on hiatus and I think maybe that might be a good idea.

Or maybe we could have a new thing implimented, like too report someone that spams, there could be a new tab called like reported people, and people could look at their comments, and see if they've been spamming. If Stephen doesn't have enough time to look at it, then maybe an account could be deleted right after like 5 or 10 people report the same person.

I think that that could kind of clear up both problems. Steve not having much time to check, and spam.

IdeaRunners is using the Pligg Content Management System and hopefully they can just raise the security a bit to get rid of that spam. Image-verification upon registration usually does the trick.

Image-verification is what I'd do... surprised it doesn't have it already...

That or you could make me an admin :}
