Is it best to spam poison shot when your mana permits or shoot 1 and wait 4 seconds and shoot another? any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Each poison skill stacks once with itself, so a double shot is good, then wait for that to wear off...although, I think poison shot can initially boost your physical attack.

However, any skill shot takes a little more time than a normal attack, so if TFF is active, I would use very few skill shots.

thanks for the advice im just trying to figure out how to manage my mana i usually nox shot until all the small mobs are down and than its just a matter of waiting for mana to shoot poison shot anyways.

Seems you're have a bit of a hybrid going there, something in the middle of DPS/Crit Ranger and Poison Ranger, which probably is the most common form of Rangers in this game. You could try to go for more Crit-gear and don't need the poison, or go for more +Poison Bonus gear and stat yourself with some INT for better Poison Damage.

It's generally accepted that crit rangers are better then poison rangers.
You can resist poison but you can resist crits.

Yea, I feel bad for poison rangers... those damn poison monsters are in every other dungeon. Must be a hard life, having to stick with one element

Yeah Poison rangers have a terrible time with Ballzac.....

But poison ranger levels up faster right?

This is why we need a fire shot! Too many poison skills as it is, imo. We need other elemental shots/skills as well.

yup ur right lmao. ranger doesnt seem to get much attention really. it has always been my fav class to play.

but anyway back to original topic thats worst part of DR forums , if sum1 does get round to makin a thread it gets hijacked by random thoughts.

when using posion shot because of the cool down on it , (varies deoending on wepon speed) its best not to spam p shot becausei n the long run it doesnt stack well and ur losing point something of a second with every shot u spam compared to normal and these numbers dont go into each other very well so it doesnt run very smoothly like that.

best is to use p shot w8 a sec and use another when u see the green cloud leave the player/monster w/e u fightin. this way u will do more dps in the long run it doesnt seem like much but it can make quiet a large difference. especially in pvp when ur oppenent has a very large amount of HP, but with monsters it will take alot longer to notice the change in dps.
