Bling Gnomes and you
vB post 126125 - 07/07/08 07:39 PM

Hi all anyone have a Gnome owner manual.
if not let this be the thread!!!!
OK here are the questions

1) how to make the gnome eat extra items for you?
2)How do you re-name the gnome?
3) Where is my gnome?

Answers

1) the gnome will grab any fallen gold for you without being told to.
he is also able to eat items, Rare (yellow) or below, for you when you hit the hot key and her will convert the items in to gold for you.
2)Y'all can't the devs said so
3)if you can't find the the little sucker. Look in your passive skills section and add him to the tray

I know it's been mulled over before, but I'm shooting for a squeaky wheel paradigm. So devs:

We should be able to rename the gnome, if only once. Pope Whatever Geebus just isn't your best work, plus it gets even moldier when the entire market square is crawling with the bastards.

If you can't bring yourself to let us name them, then at least use a randomizer. Give us a Pope Spanky Hotpants and a Pope Lispy Wankr (edit: wan-ker is censored?)... Pope Funky Butler... Pope Manic Trunkjunker...

I could go on all day... it's easy; give it a go.

How to feed items to your gnome.
First the gnome will only convert items in to gold if they are fresh drops, not items that you pick up and then drop back down.

Okay... How long does the gnome stay with the account? As long as you keep up membership? Or after the six months is up do you need to get another box set?

Once you've gotten the Bling Gnome you can't get rid of him. He'll always be lurking in the background, even if your membership runs out.

Here! Here! Or put an 'invisible' mode on the gnome so that we can't see him until he does his little dance and poo (I love that part). It's getting a bit cluttered with all of the gnomes running around townston.

I guess the problem with custom naming is that people could use some foul language and stuff but that's a possibility already with player names.

But I have to ask, what's the gag with the Pope stuff? I've been happy to have picked up most references in the game but that one keeps going over my head.

Pope = poop? Maybe. It makes sense to me.
