I was just wondering if anyone else was having problems after today's latest update? At first, I downloaded the new update and after installing and starting up the client, I kept getting the error message: 'Error talking with server.' I let it sit for a while afterwards and now I get the dreaded 'red dot' next to my client in the PlayNC launcher, and whenever I click the Play Now button, I get:

---------------------
Unable to contact game patch server.

Please check your internet connection or try again later.

If you want to skip the update step, force a launch using the right-click menu on the game list or main button.

Error Code: 36 (PatchServerCommunicationError):

Patch server communication error while performing operation:

Getting Current Version

----------------------

Is there still work being done on the patch? Or did my computer go haywire?

I get an error in the launcher "can't communicate with patch server" so haven't even d/l'ed the patch yet. same message as you. I assume it's the patch server having problems.

Thats because Stephen didnt posted yet when it ends, and neither if it already stopped. We should just wait, as the patch probbably is being uploaded and sorted out with clients and stuff.

Connection problems should be resolved now, please let us know if you're still having problems getting into the game.

Thanks!

I get the red dot next to live.. checking for update, then the force launch error box.

Is there a way to reset last attempt so I can get the 110 download?

Something you could try would be quitting all the way out of the Launcher (making sure it isn't sitting down on your taskbar) and then relaunching.

Having same problem with error code 36. I check my virius protection and saw it had block NcSoft from changing some of my dlls so I turned off my virius program and did a complete unistall and then reinstalled Dungeons Runners and NcSoft launcher and I still get same message. I can force launch and select world but when I go to select my character thats when it locks up on me with some Townstonship error code.

That is because your client version is not in sync with the server version. It is never a good idea to force a launch when a patch is expected to be downloaded - bad things happen.

Okay, here's a new wrinkle.

On a hunch after looking at the error log in the launcher I uninstalled the PTS client. Full shutdown and reboot. PTS client is not showing in Add/Remove programs.

Head to the NC Launcher. Both the PTS and The Live Client are still showing in the Launcher. The live client is a red dot still. But the "PTS Client" shows yellow and when I clicked on it it started to trickle download... I stopped the download adn exited the Launcher thinking it probably wasn't a good idea to continue.

Kinda odd huh?

We have identified an issue with a couple of our patch servers. You may be able to workaround it by attempting to keep patching, as you may hit one of the working patchers. We are implementing a fix for the broken patchers, so you should be up and running soon either way. Sorry for the inconvenience! Updates to follow...

I've been disconnected a couple of times, and when trying to log back in I get a message that says something like this: took too long trying to reconnect. Check your firewall.

I can then close DR and launch it again, but is anyone else getting this kind of trouble?

I had no problems with the patch but did experience the "check your firewall" when I was playing the test server. Closing and opening back up got it running but seems like something that should be reported.

The firewall message is just a troubleshooting message (not an error message) that occurs if it takes longer than a set number of milliseconds or seconds for you to connect. It'll appear even if you do connect, but slowly.

Check the firewall means you firewall is blocking DR. Just grant access on your firewall.

Kuro - it doesn't mean that. You must have posted at the same time as me. In DR, it's just a generic message that's intended to help one troubleshoot the most common reason for connection problems (especially after a patch). BTW, DR is now configured so that if you have a pop-up firewall alert, DR will minimize so you can respond to it. I know for a fact that it works perfectly with Comodo 3, and I assume it works with other firewall software, too.
