I also have the "this character is currently in use" issue. I have had it happen before and usually you just wait a sec and you can log in again. However, this time no such luck. Waited a few minutes tried again still in use, exited and tried again still in use, restarted computer tried again, still in use....

Trianil - this is an issue specific to the patch. In general, there are login problems after every major patch. It doesn't really have anything to do with this thread.

I added the line that you suggested at the beginning of this link, and it changed nothing... I still can't see the characters at log in, or any boxes for play-delete-back, etc.

I have a ATI HD Raedon 3850 video card.

After d/l ing everything and setting everything up, I logged onto the log in page and put my information in. It logged int he server page. I clicked on server page it put me in Que and then it gave me a black page with a banner up top and 2 flames at the bottom and nothing happened. After I was able to exit the game I viewed this topic. I went into my file and changed the code to given code and saved it. (Even know after I re logged in the code disappeared.)

The servers just reset and I tried again and I am getting the same thing. I created a second account with the same problem. Is there something else I should try? firewalls are down and nothing is blocking the game.

GCard - GeForce 8500 GT

OS - Vista

this post is old, and the current problems are due to the new chunk, head back to the main forum page and check the most recently dated post, those are the ones that seem to be following the login issues of the day

No I keep my head firmly where it is. It don't see nothin there.

We are aware that some of you are having login issues. We're looking into it right now and hope to have a resolution soon.


As a matter of fact I did. I also saw the servers go up and down and sw another post where they changed something and the problem was taken care of or they found where the problem was. I also saw people playing.... and I was still having the same problem. So I am posting to make sure I have done the things I need to do to make sure my game will run properly or to see if I need to change something.

Now that things are working fine (it appears) do we still need this line in our .cfg file?
That line being the "Pipeline = VFPF"
For that matter, what does that added line do? Or does it remove some visual effects? etc.

is the file you want to add it to.

is what you want to add it under.
