Quest idea
#72659 - 08/05/08 06:55 PM

I had an idea about handing in completed quests, I find that after a while I have a bucket load of quest items and completed quests. The problem is I have to travel to certain points of dungeons, areas of the world and to do this I need to scroll through all of my completed quests and figure out where the hell I need to go.

So I end up just junking these junky little quest items on the floor and ignoring the quest forever more. My idea is simple, have an area is Townston where you can hand in ANY completed quest and recieve the rewards. Of course you would still need to find the quest giver to begin it, but it would save me a load of running about for a trivial sum of cash.

Compared to other mmos, the amount of "running around" is very limited in DR. I think this idea would be a nice addition to the upcoming quest log improvement. It may be easier to implement than a new "catch all" drop. Perhaps not...

And his eyes have all the seeming of a demon's that is dreaming,
And the lamplight o'er him streaming throws his shadow on the floor;
And my soul from out that shadow that lies floating on the floor
Shall be lifted — nevermore!

In Chunk #4, the quest log will be better organized and you will be able to tell more easily where to go to complete quests. In many cases, you simply need to visit the outpost leading into a particular dungeon, or Townston, to collect your rewards.
