I've just hit lvl 10 and I'm beginning to realize that it's probably in my best interest to start specializing. Briefly looking at things, I'm thinking of going Shadow Mage with a pyro build on the side for those nasties who don't like shadow so much. I'm just having a bit of trouble deciding on how to go about it. I realize that Shadow Bolt and Lightning (improved when I'm able) are the basic constituents of the build but I'm at a loss as to what else I need. at lvl 10 ur build choices are VERY limited as to what u can do.

if i was you id just keep leveling as u are and try not to worrry abut a build untik about lvl 25 - 30.
just get ur basic mage build for now..

whenu hit lvl 30 u want improved lightin , also crispy critters , fire ring , gaseous blast.

this will make levelin go at its fastest using an Area of Effect mage. also BSoL helps alot to keep u alive.

Well u should keep on lvling m8.
when u hit 25 u should have bsol ( blue screen of life ) and if ur shadow of course dark wizardryand if ya fire piromania, gaseous blast is good for pvp and critters for farming

Well you just need crispy critters, and improved shadow lighting.

I suggest to just train in places where there are no shadow mobs (some levels in hdol, for example) so you can just focus on shadow and get your gear bonuses maximixed.

Also get dark wizardry, and bsol as buffs.

When I was training at hdol, I used chill bill and his 3 buffs, then just shadow lightning, bolt, and improved sl. The rest are the standard mage must have passives. (Bookworm, mental prowess).
