Mages look awesome especially if they have wizard robes (like me), it was probably a ranger, because rangers look like retards with their crappy plain chain armor |

I've seen mages at level 100 look exactly like me at level 29. Yes, we have cool armor, but not cool enough for 100 levels. Maybe I just haven't seen enough mages, but all I see is the reverent/magician sets. Either red/blue, or red/skulls. |

I agree with kaldour, most mages look very similar weather level 20 or 100, the main reason for this is because most of the gear is set up for certain builds, so if you want to be an all fire mage you have to use one of two suits, unless you want to nerf your fire skill or lose bonus. I think a RB suit for any class should have the ability to pick which graphic the player wishes to use, one of my friends is a ranger and he really liked the green and leather suit for a ranger but unless he wants to give up being as strong as he can be, since that suit only comes in a yellow version, he really has no choice but to look like every other ranger out their (i.e. buffalo bill suit) More variation to the gear and the stats it gives would be nice and allow for many more distinct looks. -------------------- Not a nice guy, but not a twink racist. ...And being effective. Just look at that Witch Doctor outfit. Not only does it give my mage an ideal bonus to INT and END, it also has pretty generous bonuses and makes him look kewl too. -------------------- Login Martyr |

I like all the skulls and pretty tattered black and red robes with the spiked bone helm. Looks nice. especially with some monster bait and crispy critters. Sure would be nice if ice mages had, oh I don't know, Blue armor (or white which would be killer). but the only blue mythic armor sucks (The Kings Jumpsuit).otherwise looks like pretty much the same either like The Horror, or Man'es Ribcage. (Does anyone even wear Merlins Nightgown?) |

I find the Merlins gown to be somewhat usefull depending on the instance im in, with the complete magician set I guess you could call it. Gives ideal res to both ice and fire and gives good bonuses to both elements, it might not be as high of a bonus as a pure int fire robe lets say, but the duel res and bonuses makes it easy to switch builds easily. Im not too fond of the looks, but im more into the effectiveness of my character. Thats just my two cents, I remember the days when merlins night gown was the only rb armor, before the witch doctor looking armor. We mages used to wear just leather equipment or the magican looking stuff. Plus coming in this new patch there are a few new armor sets, though I think they are more for fighter. Someone above mention that the only blue armor rb was Kings Jumpsuit, last time I checked it was Gold >.> -------------------- Leader of Legendary 60+ Members Gollias lv 100 since Aug 07 Me & Overpowerd hitting lv 100, back in Aug 07. If u wanna see what we mages used to look like click the link in my sig and watch me and my great friend overpowerd hit lv 100 at the same time. I know the quality is utterly horrible, but u can get a look how we used to look, super noobish compared to now. Thou I would like some more appearance options, atleast your not looking like I used too. -------------------- Leader of Legendary 60+ Members Gollias lv 100 since Aug 07 Me & Overpowerd hitting lv 100, back in Aug 07. If you want better protection and a slightly different look, try to find a Shazam! But as you get higher level most of us will want the usual robes to get maximum damage bonus from whichever discipline we are working with at the time- -------------------- "That which does not kill us makes us stronger." -Friedrich Nietzsche bigredneck http://www.drplayers.com/net/dr/Show...spx?bigredneck XavierRayne http://www.drplayers.com/net/dr/Show...px?XavierRayne GilthasPathfinder http://www.drplayers.com/net/dr/Show...thasPathfinder |
