Just curious; what is the percentage of the time that the bling gnome converts items into a MORE POWERFUL item? I've been using mine for a bit, but so far, (and I'm not complaining here, just curious) no uber-powerful items have dropped from his mighty nethers...

The % depends largely on the amount you feed him each time. The only times I've gotten items from BG (a couple purples and one rb) is when I fed him at least 20k worth of stuff.

That's not to say that 20k is the magic minimum, but it's probably in the ballpark if you want to see a decent percentage chance of getting an item from him.

edit: ...actually, that 20k number is running a lvl 80+ toon. The number will scale with lvl. For comparison, running my 80+ through a dungeon on normal, and converting loot from an average of 4 mobs at a time, I average around 5k per poop (how often does one get a chance to utter something like that? ).

I did not know my gnome would poop items! That's gotta hurt something awful and he can continue to poop gold for me (though a little more would be helpful) and I'd be happy

When it happens, do you have to be there looking for it, does it pop into inventory, does Bling tell you, etc? Often times I hit Bling and then move on to next battle and I guess I could miss it. Thanks.

That's correct. On the other hand, he only takes a few seconds do to his "business". ^^

Yes, a surprising side-effect of wearing all that bling is that it acts as a super-concentrated laxative...remember that kids, before you spend your allowance on that nice herringbone.
