Sorry to disappoint you Khazandra, but I didn't click on anything, except the portal back to Dew Valley. If I had 5-6 slots on my membership account, it wouldn't have happened. By the way, I may be the only one complaining about this, but make no mistake, I am sure there are other players with similar thoughts. That would be a shame if it prevent someone to sign for membership on this great game. Since this is a suggestion thread, hope you don't mind another one, may already be in development, don't know. What about a common "bank account/back space" for your account, instead of having 3 tabs (before lvl 50) having a common 9 tab for your, at present 3 characters. Every time my low lvl characters find purple items, my mage finds nice stuff for my fighter, my fighter for my ranges, etc )) Would be nice being able to easily transfer those among your character and would "clean up" noob channel a bit also =)

I was a free player for 6 months. I have played free games off and on for years and am familiar with load-ads and other banners in and on tha game. (Anarchy Onlines billboard advertising, in game, is my all time favorite). The only ad in Dungeon Runners that killed me was the shoe ads that felt like they lasted an hour. Those long ads where done away with after patch 110.
The point is I still played the game and so did my friends. Why? because the game is awesome. A couple of ads never bothered me. Now I have been playing my member character for the last 3 weeks and decide to play my free account. I diffinetly noticed the ads but still kept playing. The most annoying thing about the free account was picking up gold and items.

And for the advertising geniuises at NCsoft, I would have played forever for free if you hadn't thrown that blasted Bling Gnome out there. I just couldn't say no to the little guy (and 6 months of membership for 4.)

This fullscreen ad is that a feature that have been added recently, like yesterday or today. I played this game for several hours a few days ago before I signed up for membership, not one single fullscreen ad. Today played for 3 hours on my free account, got 20-25 of those fullscreen ads. Like you have pointed out, wait and after a few seconds they time out. Well a few seconds on a hilarious and addictive game like this one is an eternity. To be honest this evening was awful, stopped playing and logged on to my membership account instead to get rid of those fullscreen ads, hope they give us some more slots on the membership accounts, so you can try out any "new build" without having to delete one of your toons.

I must agree with the extra slots....

It's not a new feature. Ads were implemented in Chunk #2 (late 2007) and have been tweaked regularly since then. In fact, I did an interview with Mark Tucker for Chunk #2 and have screenshots of the ads:

The size and rotation of the "around-the-game" banner ads is much better than they used to be. The number of full screen ads have been reduced significantly (you used to get one each for logging in and out, both of which have been removed).

You're making this a much bigger deal that it is.

Everyone has his/her own opinion I guess Ripper, but on the positive side, in a short time now I have noticed that there are players out there that are really nice and offer help also. Was playing my low lvl free ranger and suddenly someone whispered and wondered if I needed help with anything, it turned out to be, for me, a high lvl 40-50 player that offered to help me. We talked for a while, it was a pleasant surprise and I am looking forward to the posse/clan/guild thing when it will be implemented, I think it will be great. Just wondered are there moderators/GM's out there playing and keeping an eye on things and also offering help to newcomers? The more I play my free account the more I appreciate that little bling guy when I am back on my membership account

There aren't any dedicated moderators on the servers, but the more level-headed and experienced of the DR community basically moderates the game.

Occasionally, one or more of the devs will pop onto the servers; you will know them by their white chat text. They stick around for as long as they can handle the barrage of questions/suggestions we fire at them.
