How many times are you folks at NCsoft going
to screw up this great game. Everytime you add
a new build or patch the game is a disaster for
the next two weeks. Considering that your budget
has been boosted, along with all the extra cash
flowing in from the retail box, this should not

Why not open a support ticket if you are really having an issue and let the Tech Support people look at this for you instead of jumping on the "bash the game" bandwagon and parroting what's been brought up many times already...

Neither a problem for me, never got any lag at all. Be sure you are not downloading pr0n. If you type /info you can see the server side fps. as it probably wont come above 200%, its at your end. 500% is the line of server-lag or not.

I've had a system freeze and a couple of disconnects since the box came out, and been grouped with several others experiencing the same. Not sure if it's part of the build or the sheer numbers that are playing now.

Fugly66 has a point, even if he is being an [censored] about it. Are we ready for the increased numbers? All of the strides made to date could be lost if the bugs end up driving away the new demographic.

There has been some serious lag the last couple days. Many people ending up in the Townston graveyard 'cuz of it. Lots of talk on /noob when it happens. I figured it was the new box plus it was the weekend. Glad to hear about them opening the other servers. It'll be sweet.

The population growth is plainly evident; all of the servers have been consistently more crowded since the box's release.

While the BG party this Friday will surely be a lot of fun, I think it's secondary purpose is to stress test the servers- to see just how much bling they can handle at once.

i live in mexico city hehe, and it is cable company mainly that gets saturated, the dsl i have only sometimes gets saturated but mainly only when everyone in the house is conected

I have started a support ticket, but to be honest I don't expect much help. This isn't on my end or all my games would be doing it.

Thanks for the info guys. I'm glad you guys are posting, because it does help. But troubleshooting is also extremely difficult to do via forums. So please, if you are still having problems after posting submit a help ticket so we can get things resolved. We think there may be more than one thing going on here and it is important that we do not lump all of your issues together as ifthey are one and the same.

I did just discover that there is an issue that can affect users from Mexico. It is ISP related, and it is now a known issue. But with that said our Tech Support staff kindly asks that these players submit tickets so they can run a few tests for you. This info should help the ISP provider find a resolution.

To submit a ticket please go to http://support.plaync.com and click on the "Ask A Question" link at the bottom. You will need a support center account if you do not have one already. That account can be used across all NCsoft products.

just a note, if you want to save a bit of time, I can tell you what they are needing, at least initially. Go to "start" "RUN" and type in "DxDiag" and hit enter. After it gets through updating hit "Save All Information" and note where you save it to. Then attach that to your support ticket. This should save you a few steps. Also, they were VERY quick in getting to my ticket and helping me out. Hope this helps others. Good luck.

Be that as it may, the above steps are the only way to verify if this affects everyone who runs (for example) Norton Security on their system or not. They're not saying it's on your end. They're saying that they need more information before they can determine what they need to change on their end.

Troubleshooting is just a fancy word for gathering information. Without you doing your part to send in the information, the techs on NCSoft's end don't know what's causing the problems. And without knowing that, they can't solve them.

Troubleshooting is your friend.

Sadly there are other games out there. Almost time to move on I would say, sadly, I rather liked the game.

Unfortunately, the troubleshooting process can become rather tiresome. Since the problem is unknown, they have to just take shots (read: educated guesses) in the dark until they hear the 'ping!' of a target hit.

I can understand your frustration, though; I went through the same thing, for a shorter time. If you decide you can't go through with it, maybe you will find the interest to check back in the future. Maybe whatever the issue is will be discovered in the meantime, and they can fix you up whene you get back.
