Ahhh happy day, I can never be bothered with a pl request again (or give me rb's, or how did you get so tall?, or can I have some spare gold, or.......)

The tall thing I never did understand. A majority of people I have met wear them because they "look cool" why not spare thelooks and get stuff that can actually benefit you. And I assume a couple of you are level 100, more powewr to ya. Im only 72 and Im already sick of it.

There are growth-items which benefit you in many ways, others not so much. I've used builds where rings who happen to have +Character Size is the best for me, other builds where I use other rings. It's also fun running around with full growth just to look cool. It's a status-thing.

And your range to the obelisk and NPC's is bigger, too. You can get the obelisks creen right away, and get to audrey a bit faster. Its still a benefit, tho it is considered as a bug by the devs, I believe. It is also handy to get 53% as 100 when you need to trade with someone, easy to find.

With my first toon, I felt the same. I couldn't imagine sacrificing utility for aesthetics, so I walked around using only the most utilitarian items I could find -- but mostly looked like a clashing, mismatched goober for 75 levels or so. (I do enough of that in RL, so...)

With the new toon, I now realize that an extra point here or there doesn't do too much, so I'm more reluctant to give up an old cool looking/growth rb in favor of a new purp that might mean I drink one less pot in a level.

There used to not be many growth items that were useful to rangers, so wearing growth, for me too, was just for "showing off" around town. But since the devs added more variety to the items, I have some very helpful growth items, like a couple of fab finger girdles that boost my endurance and give +4% ranged damage.

sad thing is if those lower lvls just lvled up a few more lvls and learned how to AoE as a mage. They could basically PL themselves.
