New Graphics Engine?

I remember there was a rumour about this some time ago, but I can't find anything with Search. Any sage words from the elite? |

It's definitely coming, that's all I know. I, too, would love some information on it... |

I am hardly "733t" but rumor has it if I remember correctly that it was going to use the Unreal 3 Engine. ![]() http://www.gamestooge.com/2008/03/25/ncsoft-announces-unreal-engine-3-mmorpgs/ http://www.overclock.net/video-game-news/311933-ncsoft-leases-unreal-3-engine.html Google search: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=dungeon+runners+unreal+3+engine&btnG=Google+Search ![]() |

Well, I'd imagine that the Unreal 3 engine wouldn't be cost efficient for an mmo of this business model. I believe that the license charges PER title released. On that note, I do hope that they stray away from anything Ageia oriented. It would kill the populace quicker than a bullet to the brain. I, for one, am ok with the current graphics. That's part of the immersive humor, in my opinion. -------------------- "War doesn't determine who is right, only who is left." http://gamefacelive.com - You Show Me Yours, I'll Show You Mine! |

I like the graphical style and don't want it to change (I think it's appropriate to the game), but I would appreciate more current graphics technology like shader models, shadows, etc.. |

Agreed. Style is perfect for the game... some anti-aliasing would be nice though ![]() -------------------- Khaz: W4 Laker Girl An earthquake's sound, to a girl's guitar, is just another good vibration. |

Whoooooops...! My gaming system is right now with its manufacturer, undergoing massive surgery of vital organs, and as a result, I have a mild separation anxiety that surfaces in odd ways... blocking out the glorious features I'm missing is one of them. How very embarrassing. ![]() -------------------- Khaz: W4 Laker Girl An earthquake's sound, to a girl's guitar, is just another good vibration. |

Yeah I'm personally hoping for the same graphical style with just a few more bells and whistles. But I can't imagine the devs would want to move too far from the current style, anyway. Upon better reading comprehension, I'm pretty much in agreement with Ripper. -------------------- Red Forman: Do you know why Tiny Tim walked with a crutch? Eric: Because he had a smart mouth?
