Thanks to all of you, points well taken.

As one of many level 100's that feel the same way I do I felt the need to post this not as a complaint but as heads up to the fact that some long timers feel to get the Bling Gnome I would “Have” to purchase the retail box.

Now not being new to on-line gaming but new to monthly fee's I still feel as a long term supporter of DR that I should have all it has to offer. Your marketing plan needs to focus on game improvements and not how can we increase revenue quickly.

Peace...remember its a game.

Yes, your right. If you want to get the Bling Gnome, you HAVE to buy the box. However, being a long time player (Much like me, Ripper, and several other players) does not entitle you to get everything for free. Just like playing Magic for five years doesen't entitle you to recieve a full set of the newest expansion for free. Or playing nothing but Blizzard games for the past ten years suddendly entitles you to get Diablo 3 for free.

The Dev's ARE focusing on long term improvements to the game. However, what you fail to realize is that stuff like the Game Box is also essential to the long term growth and stability of the game as well. Not only does it help provide funds so that they can have tools and resources needed to implement those long term goals, but it's also needed to help attract new players who otherwise wouldn't give Dungeon Runners a second look. And Long Term improvements don't mean squat if they don't have a playerbase willing to stick around.

While I can understand your feelings, you happen to be wrong. Remember its a business and with no influx of cash the business dies.

Since you have never played a game with monthly fees before you may be unfamiliar with this process. No game that has no fees associated with it is turning big profits. Even a game like Guildwars that was fee free, had expansions to increase revenue. Those expansions improved the gamme, but cost 50 dollars.

You can have all this game has to offer, but like evry other member new and old you have to pay for it. Just because you were here before others does not entitle you to anything extra. Thats just the way it works.

I have not seen many other 100s with your complaint, speak for yourself and not the nameless others that always accompany a post like this.

I'm a level 100 and I've been playing this game and contributing feedback longer than all but a very small number of gamers. You definitely don't speak for me. The level 100 argument is meaningless, anyway, since level doesn't equate to experience, nor does it necessarily correlate with long-term membership.

I do understand where you're coming from, but I think your logic is flawed.

That being said, if this irks you then you're going to be really perturbed when microtransactions are introduced. NCCoin transactions are coming to DR at some point in the future. Frankly, when NCCoins are implemented, I hope the Bling Gnome is one of the items offered. It's perfect for mictrotransactions, since it's a fun,"must have" item that is completely unnecessary for playing and enjoying the game. With NCCoins, I do hope to see tiered membership, however, a ala:

Tier 1 - Free player - can choose to purchase NCCoins
Tier 2 - Basic membership - what exists today, but players have the choice to purchase NCCoins for additional goodies
Tier 3 - Premium membership - access to all goodies for one price
