Hybrids and the Blue Screen of Life
#65533 - 07/02/08 08:52 AM

For about 21 levels, I didn't really realize that my fighter could learn some mage or ranger spells. But when I did, I got crispy critters, pyromania, poison resistance, the turkey leg and that poison thing that makes everyone's defense go down 25%. I've pretty much loved it and then when I hit L25, I saw that I could get the blue screen of life.

I've managed to get sufficient mana through the buff bookworm and a couple of rings and an amulet that boosts me up there. But whenever I turn on the blue screen of life, even in a mob scene, it uses up most of it and without casting a spell, starts to drift down to zero and then goes away. I thought that with damage, I was supposed to gain mana, not lose it.

Am I doing somethign wrong?

Also, I've enough money to buy I'm rubber, you're screwed. But I like having two one handed weapons a lot. Is it worth it?

What BSoL do is that some of the damage you take makes the Mana go down instead of your Health, thus making you survive longer.

I read it the same way at first. So do not feel so bad.
