The dungeon runners retail box shows a black bling gnome, and I was excited to use him (gotta love that dagger 'fro pick) but it doesn't seem like there's a way to get him.

So, is the other bling gnome actually in the game, or is he only on the box?

"So Far" The little yellow Gnome is the only one available.

The other one's gotta be there for a reason, we just don't know what it is yet....

A future planned summon perhaps? Who knows.

Actually, I very surprised that the company has not
supplied everyone who has purchased the retail box
the immediate option of choosing which gnome you would
like to play with. Since they are clearly advertising
"meet the gnomes" on the official website, as well as
the cover and back of the box, I'm shocked that they
are only offering the "white" gnome. Personally, I
think this could be grounds for a case of false
advertising against the company if someone really
wanted to push the issue. Hopefully, they will have
an answer to this sometime soon.

It takes more than that for a false advertising suit. I would have liked the option of choosing which one I wanted as well, but I will not be pushing a lawsuit.

Personally, I'm fine with the little guy that
is already included. However, I know that
there are a lot of disgruntled players who
clearly wanted to use the colored gnome in the
game. Just another case of a company not coming
through with what was promised. I'm sure though
that it will be coming very soon considering how
many people are talking about it.

They didn't promise anything. The box and some web pages show two different gnome styles, but nobody every promised you'd get both or get to choose between them. All of the promo videos and screenshots showed one gnome only.

The fact that two gnomes are on the box and the box states "gnomes" in the plural doesn't exactly constitute a promise.

It seems like some people have the mindset that the devs "really screwed us over on this one." Maybe the idea for the second gnome came along late in the process, and they couldn't get it included with the package. Whatever the case, I'm sure it will be resolved. Just be patient. I doubt the absence of the black gnome is going to hinder anyone's experience with the gnome's function...
