when you guys fight pure Int mages with BSoL.... How do you beat them?

depends what ur class is , everyclass has a build to counter another class

You keep hitting the Mage until all its mana is gone. It was easy to deplete the mana of a Mage before the BSoL nerf, it should be much easier now.

A stratagey as a ranger against a mage is to use your Resists wisely and if he is using CC or Shawbolt you should be able to stay out of his range now if the mage is using FB you are going to have to do some quick moving and make sure you unload everything on him right in the begining to drop his mana right down Rem a Mage cant cast with out his mana You on the other hand can still fight at or near 100% with nothing more then a smile on your face. Also You may want to respec a little for PVP and put a few more points into End. So that the Mage acant take all your health before you take all of his.

You have to take into consideration that in PvP, the chance of getting a crit is reduced.

I'm not sure, but considering how reflect and haelth steal work in pvp, I would say a considerable amount. You probably want to concentrate on base damage rather than critical (e.g. swapping critical gear for gear that adds + x to ranged damage, etc.)

But the main thing against a mage is still resists. Against a decent mage, the resist buff isn't enough. You want to have gear that adds resists, and you definitely want to have more END.

Next time you're in pvp, look up the strong rangers you see and learn whatever you can learn. Some people are opposed to having their character info viewable, but the info is there, so why not use it?

Exactly. Elemental Resistances are your best weapons against a Mage. It might also be a good idea to have more than one Resistance Set, because some Mages may switch their equipments and use a different element if they see you're trying to Resist them.

I agree with resists are everything. As a mage myself I hate those pesky resists but like they also said any good mage will have gear for all 3 elements. So you will need to have resist gear for all as well, and you will also want to get range speed and damage for pvp. Crit rangers are great for pve but kinda lack for pvp.
