One account
#59619 - 05/27/08 11:49 AM |
I was wondering if it was possible to have one account with different toons that anyone can play with (that has access to the password) Obviously you would have to trust that person (to who you gave the password) but that toon would lvl up very fast.. Would there be problems with 2 people playing with the same account at the same time? -------------------- AlexRanger - Lvl 42 with 47 PvP wins - Poison Ranger Member of Dark Wanderers DR Guild |

1) Ok first off you should never give your information out to anyone. 2) You can not have A char logged on in twice. 3) You can not have 2 chars from the same acct logged in. 4)I have done this with other games in the past shared an acct witha friend it becomes a hassle since you can never play together suggestion make accts for both of you and play together you will have a lot more fun and you will enjoy the lvling. |

There would be made a new account for this idea: maybe you would only tell one of your frinds, but with the ti,e difference there would be little chance of him/her logging in when you do. but yes, it would be much more fun playing with two different accounts.. -------------------- AlexRanger - Lvl 42 with 47 PvP wins - Poison Ranger Member of Dark Wanderers DR Guild |

The issue isn't "fun," the issue is that you should never do something like this online - especially since some of us know that you are a younger one of the players. Some people find it "fun" to prey on people unawares, and the other person(s) that may be involved with this idea may not be as smart or wary as yourself and give away sensitive information, etc. This would cause a lot of problems and heartache for you, since it could cause your accounts to get suspended or even banned. Giving or sharing your account information with anyone is actually against your EULA I believe also. You're on the forums a good deal, so I would browse back through the topics that a lot of people have brought up recently about scammers and such. Crickette posted herself about the issue you're asking about. Some people use the "it was my little brother I swear!" excuse when they do something wrong and, eventhough it MAY be true, it doesnt change the fact that they are ultimately responsible for your account. So, my recommendation (and many others including the devs) would be to never, ever do such a thing as what you're asking about - or the outcome may be to your dismay. Just think, what if this "friend" or even a brother was to get angry with you over something, or your relationship changed for the worse.... not good. ![]() |

Yes and thank you Teclis! I often have this discussion with my parents about safety on-line. I suppose a simple rule for me would be not to trust anyone. What i mean by not trusting anyone would obviously not mean not chatting ecc. with people... but as far as i know everyone on internet would be a 'bad' person. I saw a few videos on youtube about this and i think that they really help> Think you know -------------------- AlexRanger - Lvl 42 with 47 PvP wins - Poison Ranger Member of Dark Wanderers DR Guild |
