Chill bill
#59456 - 05/25/08 06:48 AM

When Chill bill came out a while ago, i saw him everwhere almost everyone was using him (poor guy ) but i was wondering is there anyone as a fighter who still uses him in PVE ? Is he worth buying it and using up 3 skillslots as a fighter?

Honestly my fighter really doesnt have the mana to use Bill nor does he have the skill slots to put all his buffs up.

Now on the other hand Bait which ius very low mana and only takes two spots if you make it crispy is a great skill even for a fighter since im running a low hp high str build.

If you were to use bill, I'd suggest bookworm (+100% mana, -25% hp, and other stuff).

Mana steal is a fighter and rangers best friend, even if its just one +1% piece you can get a full mana pool again pretty quick.

Yep, i tried it on my fighter only 3% was enough and with my ranger im using a demon sniper with 7% and with that much i cant even get out of mana :p Conlusion: As fighter u can use Chill Bill if u got alot of int or just mana steal :p and if u got enough room in your skillbar ^^

I like using bill for addy as he distracts the mobs so I can go for abby or whatever. Between my gavel and some other gear I refill my mana bar in 2 swings or so...I only use plain bill with no billie-buffs though..... :D

I us him but more as a distraction rather than a henchman. Buffs seem pointless, i need the slots for other things. I mean he's a friggen snowman, who cares?

If you use Snow Globe, you could ditch Summon Snowman from your skillbar after you've summoned Bill: the boosted survivability and the full health heal Snow Globe gives is usually enough to keep Bill alive with no need to re-summon. Nippy Twigs greatly increases Bill's damage and gives him a handy knockdown and slow effect: even as an AoE Mage, my Bill can kill about half a dozen monsters per group (you can tell that Bill killed them in that the corpses have an icy halo under it, if Bill is buffed with Nippy Twigs).

i see what youre saying, so would it be better to have both nippy twigs and the snow globe or would one or the other allow you to get the summon off the bar?

Snow Globe only should replace the summon skill, because it can restore his health in addition to doubling his HP.

With just snow globe, Bill can be a good aggro'er- he might kill a monster or two. With Nippy Twigs, as Necro said, he can slow and stun while doing more damage.

It just depends on how you want to use him.
