Deleting chars
#59320 - 05/23/08 12:49 PM

deleting char should be modified. Asking 2x 'Are you sure?' is not enought. (btw. both Yes buttons are in the same place so you can easily double clik thru).

in GuildWars if you want to delete your character, you have to type your name in box , and then press 'delete' (if type wrong name the char will not be deleted)

nobody wants their 100lvl char deleted accidentialy

Hopefully no lvl 100 would do that! But why would someone in the first place click on the delete char? - unless to delete their charecter..

Unless your having a fight with your friend on what charecter you want to play with, i don't think thee would be any problem!

/agree

The delete button is way off in the bottom left corner of the character screen all by its lonesome, then, as you say, there are 2 "are you sure" messages. I think that's plenty of precaution.

Well, changing the places of the Yes and No button for the second question would probably not be to hard, and that would get rid of the "double-click by mistake" problem... If there is one.

To be honest.. Tho 2 times asking is there, I think that 2 times choosing yes or no might be.. if thats the case.. too easy. Guildwars has a system where you have to type the exact name of the character if you really want it deleted, I think that system is just right, no accidents occur, thats impossible that way. Idea?

I say just leave it there as it is. If someone deletes their toon then it can be just written up to someone being a dumba$$ for even selecting the "Delete" button to begin with.
