How am I doing?
#55392 - 04/20/08 11:22 PM

http://www.threeplanetssoftware.com/software/dr/SirChris

Basically my "plan" is to have mostly strength, with enough agility to hit, and some endurance. I'll get any int/mana I need from armor.

I know some of my armor is a bit lower than my level, especially my weapon. I've just been leveling too fast to keep up with it. =P I have a level 57 TTH waiting for me in the bank though, so I plan on completely getting new armor at that level.

So, criticism/ideas appreciated.

Looks fine to me, although personally, I don't think Righteous Stomp is that great for a Fighter, since you want to keep your enemies close by, not far away.

That makes sense, but I don't REALLY ever use that or Acidic Blight. Only 2H Swivel Arm Action, Cleave, and obviously Soul Rend. Those are just there as placeholders I guess. I suppose I could replace Righteous Stomp with Unnerving Shout, but I'd probably end up never using it anyway. =P Thanks for the advice.

Stomp is good for its kockdown, but unless you're lookig to hit mutliple targets, butcher is better for its damage.

It kinda' depends on where you're doing most of your running. I have a lvl 43 fighter that spends most of her time in RoC or HDoL3. I've switched stomp out for butcher in both cases (keeps the groupies and the HDoL heroes on the ground where you need them).

That, along with holy roller, means you have to do a lot less chasing.

I think two fast cooldown melee skills are enough, so either Soul Rend + Butcher, Soul Rend + Holy Roller or Holy Roller + Butcher. I think Soul Rend + Holy Roller is better, since Holy Roller does similar things to Butcher but is IMO better. Cleave can be placed on the skillbar instead (although it is also a fast cooldown skill, it doesn't require a target... reserve left and right mouse button for skills that require a target to activate, again my personal opinion). I don't really think that Unnerving Shout is that great, maybe get something situational like Elemental Resists, Stun Resists, Fear Resists, etc. depending on the monsters you're fighting?

I'm really enjoying Cleave right now. Especially when fighting Heroes, it's nice to be able to knock down and damage the smaller baddies, and kill some/most of them while in the process of killing the Hero or whatever.

I was looking into Butcher though, just out of curiosity.

I like your setup, although I tend to enjoy a little more mana.

One thing I've never understood is using Average BMI as a fighter. I can see how a ranger might want both that and Gym Freak, but what's the thinking behind using it as a fighter? I know Bogey uses it, but I figured that was leftover from when he was routinely respecing from fighter to ranger and back. Anyone?

Here's my setup: tingmakpuk

All depends what you are going to do, as you will wear your tth soon search for rings and ammy with crushing attack on it what i also wear as a fighter but thats mostly for farming. some speed % is nice as tth isnt that fast. if you need any help with some gear i dont mind helping just give me a poke on Amaliaa World 3.

Ama Did you just state that the TTH isnt that fast. That is a grosse Understatement. TTH has got to be the slowest weapon in the game.

I have been Dreaming of a TTh since its arival and finaly got to put one on last night I am extremly happy with it but I would deffinetly advise anyone who is going to put one on find as much +% of atck speed that they can find.

With the lack of speed and the ammount of mana steal it has on it though you will never need a mana pot again lol.

Oh i sure did, but then again i am just spoiled being capped with two single handed skullies i have a tth and yes when i change to two handed its slow, but with the attack speed gear i wear i bring it back to 1.0 i may not complain. but for what you get back for it its only reasonable that its that slow.

so tru never use a mana pot.and yes best is to find some nice spastic purple to go with it *smiles*

ps, grats on the TTH Darkwanderer

Gosh guys.. you're scaring me with this TTH talk. How slow is it, exactly, without any weapon speed increasing gear? ._.

Also, to get an idea of how fast I'm leveling, I've leveled 3, almost 4 times since I made this thread. It's hard to keep up with that. =/

And I JUST got my first growth items. It's going to be hard finding new ones, or just giving them up completely. I know they're pointless but I like them.

I understand your love for growths, I too love them, but some just aren't worth keeping. Like you left ring, not a growth, no good bonuses, I know resists are important but I personnaly like to kill monsters before they have a chance to hit me. I also think you should get some Crystal armour, with it's endurance bonuses, your health should go up quite a bit. Your health is pretty low (my lvl 32 mage as almost the same amount). Spend a little more points on endurance too mate.

That left ring is probably the worst armor on me. Level 32 and a freaking YELLOW. I am looking for a replacement, I promise. Also, I'm more into strength than end. Most of my resists are also pretty decent, so it makes up for it. I don't find myself using anymore pots than other fighters in groups I'm in, and I don't find myself dying tons either.

Your build is fairly good. I find that endurance boosting armor such as Cubic Zirconium or Sunstone and jewelry for agility works best for me, but you should have a little more endurance. You need to get some new shoulders as well. Your skill setup is perfect save for two things: A: Righteous Stomp doesn't really help much. B: It's cluttered with no order; I like mine that way. If you take my advice, you won't need to distribute stats evenly; strength will be all you need naturally.

I'm going to replace my shoulders when I find some sunstone ones. I have a sunstone helm that my bro bought for me, but he hasn't given it to me yet. I'm going for full sunstone, obviously. :P

Also, I don't absolutely love the TTH. :x Someone let me borrow their Wake of the Devastator, and that thing kicked so much [censored]. My cousin also gave me a Bane, that that thing owns too. (high crit % chance + 6% health steal = win.)
