I got contacted by a lvl 10 today claiming that the Crew had appointed him to "gather information about the typicall level 90-100 so they could assist those users in certain areas".
First question were what my username where. I refused to reply. Second question where I lived and what hospital I were born at. If I'm not mistaken, that is probably what questions I get from the "Lost password" function.

Anyways, his name is *edited* and he has been officially reported thruogh the PlayNC site, but beware of giving out this kinda information. Don't even tell anyone your username.

*Yawn* Sad. They're getting more and more common as DR's popularity grows. Wish something could be done to punish them soundly, or at least stop them in their tracks.

Wow Lm thats two scammers in like a month for you.

I have been playing this game for a couple of months now 3 or something to that nature and have not once gotten a tell from someone like that. Guess i'm just not as important as you. They all want your Uber gear man.....

Sad.. so sad... Its just wait and hope that nobody gets fooled for real.
Sadly enough only reports can be done through the Support.. I hope they quickly come with a solution. If I'd ever get the chance to help get this crap out of the game.. pheew, bye bye scammers!

LR - Yeah, and the Support is kinda weird too. I mean, I log on, send the report and then they ask me to register. Weird...

Yesterday there were a player called PlayNCSupport or something like that trying to scam my friends so watch out.

If you ever encounter someone who appears to be breaking the rules, including impersonating NCsoft staff or trying to solicit your very private information like real name and game password, you can report them to our game support staff.

To file a report, go to http://support.plaync.com and click on the "Ask a Question" link at the bottom. You'll be redirected to a form that you can fill out with the details. If you have a screenshot (which is often very helpful), you can attach that to your report, too.

The game support team will investigate the issue and take action if necessary. Even though they can't tell you the results of any investigation, you can be sure they take care of business in the most appropriate manner.

I did that before I posted here, I just wanted to warn people here too.

LM you do need to register the first time you enter a support ticket ... If you ignored this and did not register your ticket was not entered. You will always receive an email from support although it will always be vague and not tell you what the resolution is for these cases.
