My Abby build...

With this build, in non-optimized gear I'm able to take Abby down in <30 seconds on Normal with very few pots. My strategy is this:
Honest to Gosh, I love that purple crystal launcher! I replaced a W T F with it and am literally killing Abby 3-4 times faster when combining it with Retribution! FYI - I'm not posting this to brag, but to give people ideas for how to use interesting builds to accomplish their goals. With the latest patch, I went from not being able to kill Abby on Normal to being able to kill him, but still having a fair amount of challenge, even on Normal. Now, with this build, it's actually easy! |

Intresting.. I need to say I do not know whenever melee reflect gains so much more damage.. but its worth a shot to try out, definitely. Your fire resistance is indeed something to work on, the more you kill abby, the more good loot drops, thats what I like about it, do what youre build for, and at the same time inprove. The tactic you use makes me wondering really.. if abby and guards are able to hit bill while freezed.. you can use him as steady tank for some seconds.. like.. you run to abby, cast that ice block spell, run back and shoot arrows. |

Whoah...check the Title "Spry Prophetic Frozen Summoner" That's all kinds of awesome. I've been holding off working on Parkaboy because he's so gimped at 59. Yes I know it's pretty hard to really gimp yourself but he's not cutting it for his level. This build gives me some ideas, ty Ripper. NP - I love that one can do well with a variety of builds! I swapped out my skills again just now - now I'm a "Spry Heroic Frozen Beastmaster" and doing equally as well! |

I haven't timed my runs, but here's a build that works really well (this one uses a lot of rbs  ): Abby ranger I think I'll switch something out for retribution to speed things up. I can probably do fine without fire ward on normal. I have two knockdowns to keep "you know who" at bay, but if I wait to activatre TFF until Abby gets down in HP, I can probably do enough damage to cut through her healing. -------------------- Nebrius |

Isn't "Gifted" a higher level of INT than "Brainy"? I do believe it goes something like "Creative", "Brainy", "Gifted", "Genius", "All-Knowing". |

Correct Necro, it has something to do with level too, the higher the level the more able to get more int, so it actually indicates 2 things instead of 1. == Edit == Oee.. you said gifted is above brainy. Its more like gifted -> brainy Edited by Legendrunner (03/30/08 04:44 AM) |

No, actually, the first title that indicates the Intelligence-Endurance ratio goes like this: Studious-> Brainy-> Creative-> Gifted-> Genius-> All-knowing. |

Meh, Gifted is still above Brainy. I remember Brainy seems to indicate a bit too much END for Mages. |

I don't mean more END than INT, I meant that "Brainy" represents a slightly high END to INT ratio: maybe about 2:5 or something. |

Ulrich killing Abby in under 15 seconds (from the time I start firing) Notice, I don't start firing at him until I use TFF and he's dead before TFF expires (it's a 15 second buff). This illustrates several points: 1) My solo build works very, very well against Abby on Normal difficulty 2) TFF is still uber freakin' useful! Personally, I like it [better than it was before... 3) You don't really need fire resistance if you can kill him quickly. 4) Melee damage reflect rocks against melee bosses as long as you have the hp to take the hits (I currently have over 21k HP). good job ripper, maybe other people can benefit from that. With the new gear, CB, any class can solo abby now with relative ease. Even mages can who once had to burn 30 pots and 2 minutes on normal can be done in 30-40 seconds. |
