I haven't looked at it, but legend bought it and thinks it's great! Btw, the guide is electronic (.pdf) and is updated for life, unlike printed manuals. For $10, that's a pretty good deal:) |

Is this the DR guidebook you're talking about that's advertised on the DR homepage, lower left? lol... ![]() I've also heard good reports of its content and usefulness, but for the more "advanced" players it seems like more of a "collector" or fan piece. That being said, I keep forgetting to buy it so I just HAVE it, lol. ![]() |

Yep, very good guide, I would say, in overall it contains basic information, but it can be extremely handy while playing the game. To be honest at level 100 it starts to give less information, but still things like how areas are best defeated, how all skills work ect. ect. are fully explained. Dont forget the part where you get a lifetime of updates. Its around 60-70 pages big and has also a really nice layout, must-have for myself, for others strongly adviced by me. It would be nice if one could enlarge the sample photos on the guide's website so that one could actually see what the guide looks like... |

I bought the guide quite a while back. It was very helpful and I still return to it as I am getting ready for each new dungeon and boss. It is even written with the DR sense of humor. One drawback, however, was that it seems to be written by a person who had only played as a mage, thus some information was more geared to them. The artwork through the entire book is direct from the game, some of which is even screen shots. Over all, it is well put together and certainly something new players could benefit from. -------------------- Victims... Aren't we all. |

Quote:I agree. I'd be much more willing to consider buying it (and I've bought other nonessential game stuff in the past like the EQ 'map book') if I could read a page or two and see what it was actually like. |

What I've seen and heard, the guidebook is well worth it. Especially for us none-US people now when the dollar isn't worth much at all. Hehe! Allthough, their payment goes through PayPal only and it seems that PayPal has raised their security-settings way to high these days. I've allways used Prepaid or Virtual MasterCards (for the security) and those can't be added anymore. I myself have been wanting the guidebook a while. I've mailed the guidebook-place asking for other ways of payment but no reply. So make sure you have a real Visa/Mastercard issued by your bank before trying. -------------------- May The Rainbows Drop As Cows From The Sky The Lordships Dungeon Runners Sverige/Sweden |
