Well, some of you might remember me posting the suggestion about berserker armor (light warrior armor). Now I'm curious about the build and I want to know what my fellow fighters think.

Here is what I had in mind:

1. The build is simple, berserkers were known for their great strength and rage, and therefore it's easy to guess almost all of their CPs go to STR.

2. Since their expertise is to wade in and kill everything that breathes, END is lacking...I was thinking focusing on mainly on STR and adding sufficient points to agility to ensure safe hits. Maybe even add Mad Melee Mastery to spice it up a bit.

3. As, for weapons, I'd recommend fast 2-handers with a good bonus to STR; an excellent example of this is The Wake of The Devastator.

4. Playstyle is simple: knockdowns/backs, weapon and movement speed buffs (when it gets nasty and you need to get out). I recommend getting Butcher, Holy Roller, Spirit of The Hare, 2-h Swivel Action and such...but it would be nice if we had more fighter skills like "Berserk" which increases your DMG a lot, at the cost of HP and some ATK rating (due to being blinded with rage).

If anyone has any other suggestions about this build, I'd love to hear it.

Which skill do you use most? Do you find your DEF rating helpful in tight situations? Do you think your resistances are sufficient and provide you with those precious few more seconds of life to finish them all off?

How much HP do you have left when you obliterate a mob without using potions? Remember, speed is vital for this build.

As for my warrior, he has over 12k HP, max DMG is over 3k, no idea about the DPS and STR is 165, AGI 100, END 80 (all base of course!) I recently re-speced to a mre offensive warrior build. But he's wearing plate so stats are kinda all balanced out. I'll have to start looking for more Unique Scale.

and in a year of playing i haven't found one:(

as far as the rest..... wade in and kill...if i'm just running a dungeon I will alt between Holy Roller and Cleave/Awesome Cleave generally on r/l clicks for fodder and ranged stuff.

having 36k def does help but how much I'm not sure

I'll have to see how I fair against regular mobs and get back to you since I haven't really used B for anything but boss farming in about 10 months...

It's the reason I use Demos' viewer. Assuming his formula is accurate (and I'm sure it's pretty close if not 100% accurate), it's a great indicator of one's effectiveness (although DPS is sometimes sacrificed for resistances, more HP or MP, etc., which can add to overall effectiveness in certain situations).

Afetr all, the higher your DPS, the faster you kill. As long as your not perpetually spamming pots, that's the idea, right?

Started at HDoL 6 upper totally cleared and the proceeded to clear lower. Started at upper with 210 pots, finished lower with 130. Approximately 30 of the ones used were during the boss fight. Another 10-20 got used when I hit an inattention death.

Abby runs on normal at start used 5-15 depending on how pissed he was aty us smacking him around. Even when we had the full group and set on Extreme (1 below insane) max pot usage was 25.

Now I did change armor and weapons several times searching for the most effective I had available at the time. Also swapped skills multiple times:)


I lost count on the skittles found but I believe it was getting close to 10 but we were at 6 hours or so of play.

That isn't a Berserker Build, I think. I see lots of Endurance there... Strength is actually his least stat, apart from Intellect.

Wow that is quite a Differnce from what i saw the other night too. I saw the main End build looks much more like a Berserker style play now

Hehehe, THIS is a Berserker build. He has 10k hp, jsut enough to survive, and with that 8100 average dps, 14k attack rating.

Mind that the speed of .63 can be lowered to .47 with buff, and with stupid strenght rank 3 (!) It can reach a max of just 10k max dmg, this means 20k max crit. And also he has 189% crit chance from gear.

Sadly.. Slappy left some time ago, for real and forever. May this build remind us of what is reachable

Hehe not the greatest...check out Gnarr or Tendadar...Gnarr's a bit freakish with all that STR he put in.

They dont reach the amount of dps still, mind that with buffs, Slappy gets even more advantage by 15% strenght more.

Sadly theres indeed a big difference between 2H and 1H. Wielding 2 skulliosis is a bit overpowered imo.. 14000 dps.. thats double of what a ranger/fighter can reach with a 2H.

i was gonna say check Bogey now because I've got a Gavel to play with.... but I respeced to ranger last night for fun runs searching for Sally. Is much quicker than my normal slow lumbering gate:)

will switch back soon... but the massive single hit damage of the Gavel out wieghs the almost double dps of the twin skullies soloing Abby

I'm still a novice with the fighter builds, but even with 6,300 DPS, my ranger can solo abby as soundly and as quickly as this fighter build.

I'll be interested to see your gavel build, Bogey. :)

This build is working wonders for me. I'm hitting hard and fast with just dual purples and a full set of purple armors. Note that I'm talking about the DPS. Anyway, if I'm having such positive results with second rate purples, imagine how good this build could be with the cream-of-the-crop RBs such as dual Skulliosis! I may hava an even balance of agility and endurance on my ranger, but it doesn't hinder me a bit. The low hp is no problem with proper knockdown/back and slowdown skills such as Butcher, Righteous Stomp, and Fear of Gosh. I love this build, you're a success. The hardest part of DR is finding the build for you and the Berserker is just what I was looking for.
