Multiple skill bars?
#51391 - 03/17/08 02:24 PM |
Any chance of having a way to configure multiple (say 3) different skill bar sets? It'd be really handy to be able to switch easily between multiple skill-bar configurations. So when you go into an arctic themed area - you toggle to your "Fire Mage" mode - then later when you're a fire area - toggle to your "Ice Mage" layout... Just a thought. And while mages might find it most useful, I suspect that it'd be handy for the other classes as well. And similarly it might be nice to have a way to easily toggle between weapon sets. So that fighters could go from Two-hander, to two one-handeds, or weapon and shield mode more easily. Or (if you were to add in pistols) Rangers would be able to go from rifles to shotguns to pistols quickly (I imagine they should have reduced ranges). Imagine a ranger with a sabre and pistol! Probably these should be kept as "for pay" features. Since almost all the features that make life "easy" for DR are clustered in the for-pay accounts. |

It would be valuable for fighters as well. The higher level I get, the more I settle on a single set of skills. But PvP requires totally different skills than mob melee, so at least two trays would be good. -------------------- -- Tingmakpuk -- |

Both weapon switching and multiple skill bars have been debated on the boards before. Personally, I'm for weapon switching and trays that support switching (a tray for ranger skills Vs. fighter skills, for example). In general, I've been against additional skill slots, but now that entire builds of skills like Chill Bill are being introduced, maybe a couple more slots would be worthwhile? |

dont forget to add on there "On the rocks" makes it 4 out of the possible 10. Since most will leave at least one spell on clicker to heal bill ice shards makes 5 and one spell that can actualy shoot through bill now you have a 6 spells outta 10 that you have to put up just to use chill bill at this max. So after all that Multiple bars good idea. I would love to go from my Chill bill bar to a Rotty bar or something like that. Or if not that give me the 9 and 0 keys in skill bar to give us a total of 12 skills that we could use |

This is the exact same suggestion as my topic on "passive skill slots", except with multiple extra bars. Other difference is that I suggested the ability to switch out skills one for one from the top to bottom skill bars instead of just switching the whole bar - which would also be an option. |

Quote: maybe, to retain the current balance (a little), there could be a few "summon" skills slots. you could only add summon or summon related skills to them, like all the chill bill stuff and the monster bait, and any future summoning skills. then you would be free to use all the other slots on your own skills, but people that arent using summons couldnt use the extra 3 or 4 slots for their own stuff. |
