Some questions
#51072 - 03/13/08 07:53 PM

Im about level 45 now, and last time I played things were easier. I never felt I had to ask questions or advice for things. Trying to pick up the game again and now I have some.

I want to be a two hander fighter, one that does damage and has the ability to solo.
Do I want high attack rating? high stamina? Are fast two handers superior to slower ones?
What skills are the best for what I have in mind as a fighter?
Were can I farm for loot? What difficulty?

Id appreciate answers and opinions to any of these.

Not sure about the warrior stuff, as I've primarily been a Ranger, but as for farming. I'd say that Rotgut would be the best place to farm at that level. The loot drops have always seemed good. I even passed up farming Vergrim to kill Rotty (which was actually easier and better drops) instead starting at about level 29 or 30.

Generally fighters benefit from high endurance, getting strength from gear and agility from jewelry. If you get such gear, your fighter will own with a two hander. Two handed weapons for fighters are my personal favorite as skills for fighters determine damage from one weapon. Therefore, there's more of a punch from your skills =D

At your lvl yes a fighter can def be a solo machine. I have a couple of different weapon set-up. 2 sets of Ludi 1h'rs each with different elemental damage for different areas, a fast 2h'r for using cleave and awesome cleave for fodder clearing, and the bunny smasher for bosses.

Since I'm about twice your lvl you'll just have to find the balance for attack rating. I'm sitting at about 15k right now and it seems to be about right for me. Also I generally run a little high on HP, I've tried to tone it donw lately but I'm still over 20k.

There has been so much debate on the 1h vs 2h that it's a moot point. If you like it use it. Skullies, Moonglaze, Axioms are a few really good one 1h's but the Judge is the ultimate fighter 2h'r (IMO)

Far as skills... wow.... ummm.. I use the 2 warrior passives plus the Average BMI ranger skill for Melee and HP.
1h/2h Swivel depending on the situation. Mad Melee Mastery (ups your melee attack rating by a upward spiralling %)
I use Monster Bait a lot to place hold mobs till I can get to them. Acidic Blight is a must. Ring of Fire and Gaseous Blast are very helpful for fodder clearing. Awesome Cleavce and cleave sometimes. I also use Butcher and Holy Roller depending on the situation. Plus I have an assortment of Wards and Resists available depending on the mobs/bosses.

Farming at your lvl I would say maybe Rotgut or the boss before him (Frump), but I think Rotgut ahs better drops....

Holler if you need anything. I'm generally on world 4

Bogey on your wepon of choice for two handers you stated the Judge as in the Ranger Shotgun??? did you possibly mean the Gavel?

I personaly am in love with Two Handed Crushers like the Gavel and the TTH I would love to have either but since at this time I have to use two 1hd weps since they are the best I own. Even though I have a prefernce for 2hders I would never handicap myself and use an outdated wep like my lvl 20 Gavel over my lvl 41 moongaze and pretty puncture.
